Thanks for posting that Sir- it has me excited because it is such a mainstream news outlet.
Stories like this are the most important thing. I spend some of every day writing to journalists and hoping to get them interested. I get lucky from time to time but they all need the same thing- a US patient to build a story around.
I have one of those at the moment- a very good journalist who will work on a long feature, wants a person’s story.
Anyone up for it? please email me healhazel@gmail.com

ps have you seen this, latest in the blog, JF telling truth in Paris this week? https://fixhepc.com/blog/item/86-crisis-what-crisis-practivism.html

Great comment on Forbes Kevin! and Greedfighter- perfect “they may as well be making pesticides”. I would like to use that line.

here is a few that have been riling me past day or 2- in this one, Forbes, author defends Gilead pricing as reasonable- the comments are infuriating- our lives are treated like shoe sizes. I made a comment, it survived 2 hours, but it must have hurt the rich boys feelings as it is gone now. I’m trying another thing- replying to the existing ones, lets see. I am going to keep going back. https://www.forbes.com/sites/johnlamattina/2017/07/19/when-it-comes-to-abusive-drug-pricing-dont-confuse-shkreli-with-hep-c-drugs/#30fdbe1aaf68
And this- lawyers fees- could cure whole countries for this one case between 2 disgraceful corporations:

It’s all good SS- undetected is undetected. There is no such test as zero. there is no live virus- there will always be antibodies for all of us- it is just a record of our battle, our body keeps notes. You are completely, absolutely cured of hep C, like me. It’s a blast! #magic

Hey 2b- on the hot flushes, that was taking the shine right off my youthful feeling of wellness- I can take quite a lot but was just either awake hot or awake cold- maybe 20x a night- and a friend mentioned, my doctor suggested- I don’t have a mood disorder,( although many of my favourite people do) but a little bit of prozac turns the dial right down to barely a problem. I took half every day, tried every second, but it means sleeping every 2nd night-
I’ve been doing that about 6 months, now down to 1/4 a day, will try none again soon. Way easier on the system than hormone treatment, it has been around for years so the sides are well known. There might be stigma attached to taking it but that never bothers me. There had to be a declaration, for I think insurance purpose, should they ever look at my medical records, that the doctor made, it was not for mood. she was prescribing.

Great story, so glad you are underway. I felt different, really different, after only 3-4 days, I assumed it was relief, and placebo effect but time showed no, that is what feeling good feels like. The weight- I think of it as having a backpack on (actually huge hiking pack by the time I had it 30 years) and someone slips another pebble in it every day. It lifted off me- not quite all at once, but nearly. I love hearing other people getting that feeling. Wow, we are lucky.

I’m bumping this back up, as I was a bit confused at the start about what to send.
The point is, people need real people like us to trust this unusual process: all that is needed is- name (first) and just the basic story that people are looking for ” My (first) name is….. I bought generics through Dr Freeman/ FixhepC- it arrived no problem- I am now cured- or, it fine to say, I am on treatment, or just finished treatment- (doesn’t matter where in that SVR timeline you are. We know the stats, that they are identical) it is the doubt and fear that this is true we need to convince, and for people at the start of that, SVR is a long way off…… they want/need to know that generics are real, there is no hold up- the money doesn’t disappear, basically- and they will arrive. What happens next, once they are there- is the same no matter if you get generics, or branded meds through insurance or whatever- is take it and see, with excellent odds. But getting the meds safely is what people are looking for reassurance about, and that is what these messages need to convey- yes, they turn up. Add your own special take on that.
“your story could be the key to unlocking someone else’s prison- don’t be afraid to use it”

    Thanks Jeff,
I should change that- wasn’t actually fibroscan, was ultra ultrasound, is the kPa I mean of course. And a further drop, now 8.5 so I am F2 after so many years of F4….. I didn’t know, when I started, that it was possible. I didn’t know what feeling well was like either, so long under a different, cloudy sky I had lost track of what blue looked like. I can see clearly now, as the song goes. May your clouds keep rolling back! Your signature is due for that exciting update. :)
