Per the indisputable authority of Wikipedia
Dasabuvir acts as a NS5B (an RNA-directed RNA polymerase) inhibitor.
and
Sofosbuvir is a prodrug using the ProTide biotechnology strategy. It is metabolized to the active antiviral agent 2′-deoxy-2′-α-fluoro-β-C-methyluridine-5′-triphosphate. The triphosphate serves as a defective substrate for the NS5B protein, which is the viral RNA polymerase, thus acts as an inhibitor of viral RNA synthesis. But maybe there’s something here I’m missing.
Viekira Pak is two pills … a combo pill of Ombitasvir/Paritaprevir/Ritonavir and another pill of only Dasabuvir.
And now for something completely different … indulge me … I’ve only been searching for this since the end of September.
I temporarily gave up two months ago only to accidentally come across it last night … It’s been up on YT for a month now. Some call it pop-folk. That big bald guy in the video calls it Ethno-Rock.
The concert in the rain. 70,000 people … the concert sold out in eight hours … and the rain couldn’t chase them away.
That big bald guy is Slavi Trifonov, musician, showman, political activist and host of his own nightly variety show (music, humor, political commentary,) the most trusted person in Bulgaria (per actual surveys) and the most popular person there.
Put on your best headphones, click the full-screen button, and sit back for a while.

Do you have the data for Velpatasvir yet?
Is it likely you’ll be testing Mesochem’s generic anytime in the near future?
I’m curious also about Simeprevir and the others available from Mesochem.
The benefit of adding ribavirin to retreatment is not exclusive to NS5A inhibitors. In a small study of patients for whom a protease inhibitor regimen had failed, most patients were retreated with a protease inhibitor–containing regimen (ombitasvir/paritaprevir/ritonavir plus dasabuvir) plus sofosbuvir and ribavirin. Fourteen of these 15 patients achieved SVR12.
Am I reading that correctly? They used two different NS5B inhibitors together? (Sofosbuvir and Dasabuvir)
As there are a few patients out there who have relapsed and who may be looking to other meds for their next round of treatment, do we have the correct API weights for some of the other drugs available from Mesochem?
I’m specifically wondering about Velpatasvir and Simeprevir, but Mesochem currently has eight Hep C meds available, including one more NS5A, one more NS5B and one more NS3/4A.
Looks like Europe is close to approving Zepatier as well.

I’ve been running variously themed diatribes in my mind for hours now, but it won’t help the immediate situation. So for now I’ll only make three points and move on to the real issues we need to address.
1) This is about as clear cut an example of Regulatory Capture as I’ve seen in a long while.
because
2) There can be little doubt that this is taking place due to pressure brought by either the pharmaceutical lobby directly (read that as “Gilead” or by some butt hurt gastro doc or other specialist within the establishment. No member or former poster on this forum would go to these lengths to damage this forum … (not even the one that immediately pops into your and my mind, Ms. Chester :whistle
3) The current
Vice-President*Secretary of State of the United States of America, John #&*%!ng Kerry, is, and has long been, advocating for the entire internet to be placed under the regulatory authority of the United Nations. I’m not even going to bother trying to explain why this would be one of the worst disasters ever to befall mankind.*I guess I was still too worked up to be thinking clearly.
In my own defense, Biden is completely forgettable … lol.
Thanks Matt
________________________________________________On to the immediate issues. I think the solution may be simpler than is being currently contemplated.
James, some immediate questions to explore …
1) Is WebMD geoblocked in Australia? (or any other website in the US, UK, France, Germany, etc. where medical discussion/promotion are allowed) Does Australia block access to HepMag and its forums and blogs? Are Google searches of such information filtered in Australia as they are in China?
I’m pretty sure the Australian authorities recognize that their authority stops at the border. And I can’t imagine them introducing draconian (Chinese) web blocking technologies.
2) Would there be any penalty available to the Australian authorities to punish you if you were to write articles for WebMD or similar sites outside of Australia? (Whether your article itself advocated particular drugs/procedures or if other writers on the site did, or if the site allowed ads to appear … Gilead’s ads are ever-present on most web forums or medical advice sites whenever “Hep C” is put into the search.)
I’m pretty sure any work done outside of their physical authority boundaries are beyond their reach, but this one needs to be determined clearly. Can you, or can you not, produce content for sites outside of Australia that would not be allowed within Australia?
3) Would there be any Australian laws disallowing you to take an ownership interest in WebMD or its parent company? (Or similar sites.)
4) Would there be any Australian laws disallowing you to have a management or other decision making position at WebMD, its parent company, or similar sites?
After determining the answers to those questions the solutions become clear, and likely don’t require any form of geoblocking.
_________________________________________Solutions:
I suspect all that’s necessary to remove their authority is
a) to physically place the server outside their reach, and
b) place the ownership vehicle, the corporate entity, outside their authority. If they can still prosecute you for being the web site manager, then hand off technical authority to some trusted party outside of Australia … Alsdad maybe.
If they can still get you for having an ownership interest then hand off ownership to some other entity … maybe Doctors Without Borders … and require them to leave either you or your hand chosen person in administrative authority of the site.
Really, I don’t think Gilead’s little gambit here of putting a thumb on Australian regulators is all that bright. I have long suspected that Gilead is run by a bunch of snotty nosed, silver-spoon, Ivy League idiots. You can out maneuver them.
Ummmm ….. I maybe, kinda, sorta added a few bits to the top post.
Ummm … if I remember right, you want 66mg of the Dac 2HCl to get 60mg of Dac. And you definitely have plenty.

Ya, they weren’t included on the list of countries India could market to, and one source said Gilead failed to apply for a patent in the required time, so nothing stopping them.
But if you want to see quick legislative action, screw with one of the president’s relatives ….
(Google translation)
“The president has tried to get this drug for the treatment of a family member, seriously ill with hepatitis C. But he did not succeed. Obviously, Morocco did not interest many laboratory owner of originator. This personal misadventure has only decide ourselves more to take responsibility Moroccan pharmaceutical laboratory leader and drill, we, the trade secret of hepatitis C drug, “says Meriem Lahlou-Filali, Director General of 5 PHARMA laboratories.
[strike]Sorry that I have to be a stickler for details but …. we need to vet this site. This domain is “bekerhepc.com” not “bekerlaboratoires.com”.
If you click on the “Beker” tab there are two links which suggest you’ll be taken to the actual Beker site … neither link works.
If you click the “Contact” tab you are given a physical address, an email address that does, in fact, use the bekerlaboratoires.com domain … sales.int@bekerlaboratoires.com … but most people would instead use the “fill-in-the-blanks” contact form.
On the actual Beker site there is no mention of the sof/led combo, Sofosled.
Anybody got time to do this?
Edit: Google gives me two other references to the site …here

28 April 2016 at 10:54 pm in reply to: What if fixhepc would become an international ww forum for HCV? #16307Before I get started here, I’ll point out that there is a translation tab on the upper left of your screen. But yes, I know that translation engines are poor in some languages, really suck in others and are incomprehensible in others. For academic articles they are generally pretty good as well as for old style news writing … but journalism anymore … I won’t get started about journalism majors …. for the purposes of this forum, I understand that online translation engines can be difficult to use.
So … on the surface it sounds like a good idea, but there are many problems. Remember that there are spammers coming in here, there are unverified sellers trying to get sales, some being con artists, and we’ve seen well intentioned people come here and post incorrect or even harmful information. Imagine if that were to start happening in 40 languages, or 200. Our moderators would have no way to safeguard the forum.
It could put peoples lives at risk and the owners of this website could be held legally liable if things got bad enough.
It would probably be better to have authorized parallel websites in different languages each with their own set of moderators. Maybe a FixHepCChina.com, FixHepCBrazil.com, or similar … and each with their own administrators to take legal responsibility for the content of the sites.
It kinda depends where you are. We don’t have much info on the meds in Egypt yet, but from what I’ve read in various news articles, Egypt has the lowest prices. If you were already in Egypt buying there would be the obvious choice.
I understand the nervousness of having authorities ask questions. I personally decided it wasn’t a good idea for me to be ordering Chinese APIs into a Bangkok hotel. How would I convince the authorities I wasn’t a drug smuggler when I was at a non-permanent address ordering white powders in foil containers into a country that executes smugglers? But that was months ago and the whole landscape has changed.
If you want guaranteed delivery and help from knowledgeable doctors included in the price, the REDEMPTION eTrials are your choice. However the price is higher and if you already have a doctor overseeing treatment there are many other options.
Assuming you’re somewhere else in the Middle East or in Africa, you would probably do better to order the meds from Bangladesh. Incepta has helped many people here. You’ll find their contact info on their thread in the Pharmas’ Market section here, and Alimul Razi is here on the forum known as Parvez … you can PM him.
Beacon is also a good choice with good prices if you want Daclatasvir. If you’re in a country that is familiar with Julphar Pharmaceuticals (Saudi company, I believe) then Julphar Bangladesh might be the choice. People have had success ordering from all three.
Just to let you all know, I had the worries too.
Occasionally there would be liver area pains (mild). Different areas would feel inflamed at different times. Seemed to migrate.
I had a period of bloating, general inflammation sensations through the whole gut area … lasted a couple weeks.
Tingles/pinprick sensations returned in my palms and feet, off and on, for a couple weeks.
Occasional tiredness came and went.
But at 12 weeks past EOT …. SVR12. I’m at almost 16 weeks now and I may have another test at 24, but maybe not … no insurance now.
Now it’s just the occasional twinges in the liver, mostly way off to the right side near where I once had a gall bladder. And that seems to be lessening as well.
My joint inflammation has never returned. My brain fog seems to have permanently lifted. My general attitude is much brighter. And while my energy levels aren’t where they were during the second/third week of treatment, they are far, far higher than before treatment.
