Hello Jessica, thank you for this emotional post, and for your kind words. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with taking delivery of your medications package, this happens on rare occasions and US customs end up releasing the package most of the time. I know that it must be hard to know that your cure is almost in your hands but you can’t access it yet. The good news is that even if customs ends up returning the package, FixHepC offers delivery guarantee, and will send you another one and will not rest until you take delivery of the treatment you need. So please don’t feel super anxious, everything will work out at the end.

Hi Paul, if you’re in India, then you should have access to relatively cheap generic HCV medications, and you can ask you doctor where to source 100% authentic high quality generic medications there. I would urge you to follow Dr James’s recommendation of completing 24 weeks of Sof/Dac and Ribavirin instead of the just 8 weeks of Sof/Dac that you may be treated with as that will almost certainly lead to relapse.

Hi Kaju, please don’t stress, the chances of you relapsing at 24 weeks post treatment after reaching SVR 12 are extremely tiny (3 in 1000), and your AST/ALT small fluctuations are most probably due to your exercising routine and nothing else as Dr James informed you before. Looking forward to your SVR 24 and final cure confirmation announcement

Congratulations to you and to all the patients in New Zealand Hazel You should take part of the credit after your tireless work towards achieving this goal

Hi Jessica, please don’t worry, even if this package is not delivered (I doubt it as this happens very rarely) , FixHepC will send you another one and WILL get the treatment delivered to you.

Hi Jessica, there is no need to worry, someone from FixHepC will contact you to help with this DHL request soon.

Hello Jessica, welcome to the forum Drinking plenty of water helps a lot with any medication side effects, such as Nausea. After the first week, side effects will start disappearing in most patients. If you end up needing to take medications to settle your stomach, there is no interaction between Zofran (specifically) and Hep C medications (with the possible exception of Ribavirin). Please review this page that will tell you about any Hep C medications interactions https://www.hep-druginteractions.org/checker

Welcome to the forum Jessica You made an excellent decision by taking matters in to your own hands and accessing the generic treatment from overseas. As long as the generics are of high quality (you’re assured of that with FixHepC), you have the same 95% chance of reaching cure. Please update us on your progress once you receive the medications, best of luck

Thanks for this very informative article Hazel, hopefully many people with the disease will learn about FixHepC’s service because of it, and know that there are options other than having to wait forever for a decision by a bureaucrat on whether their lives should be saved or not.

Hello Kansuke, congratulations on securing your treatment
The most common recommendations when starting treatment are :
1. Drink plenty of water as it really helps eliminate/minimize any possible side effects.
2. Take your medication at the same time every day just before or with food, as it helps with the medication absorption.
3. If you’re taking 2 pills daily (e.g. Sofosbuvir + Daclatasvir), I believe that you should take them at the same time as they work in tandem (they need each other to eliminate the virus).
4. Try to get enough rest, and eat healthy foods (plenty of fruits and vegetables). If you’re taking Daclatasvir, avoid drinking Grapefruit juice (that’s the only food to be avoided when taking the modern Hep C medications (DAAs).
5. Be careful not to take any medications that may interact with your Hep C medications. For instance, don’t take antacid medications with Harvoni® or Epclusa® generics. This webpage will tell you about any possible medication interactions http://www.hep-druginteractions.org/checkerBest of luck Kansuke, looking forward to hearing good news soon.

Hello Kaju, you shouldn’t stress out at all, it’s extremely unlikely that after you reach SVR12, you will relapse and not reach SVR24. According to this blog post by Dr James https://fixhepc.com/blog/item/128-understanding-viral-load-and-hepatitis-c-treatment-success.html “Cure can be declared with 99.7% certainty when a patient has an undetectable test 12 weeks after end of treatment (SVR12)”. So your odds of relapsing are extremely small at 0.3%. Besides, stress makes the immune system weaker, and the symptoms you described can easily be common cold. Cheers.

Congratulations Tototo on being undetected, that’s awesome Side effects should start disappearing now too, sorry to hear that it wasn’t all a smooth ride. Keep doing what you’re doing until the very last pill, things are looking very good. Looking forward to your cure announcement 3 and a half months from now

Congratulations on your cure Lamussa, and on feeling well again, that’s fantastic

That’s wonderful news Ron, congratulations on finally getting rid of the virus and its symptoms after 50 years, that’s simply amazing Hopefully your liver will start recovering now that the little critters are gone.
I wonder why your attempts to spread the word in Portland are not working all that well, I’m not sure if it’s lack of trust in generics or the worry of having to deal with an overseas supplier. It’s a shame though because if patients did just a little bit research about FixHepC, they will quickly realize that it’s the real deal and many lives will be saved.

Hello Kansuke, you’re very welcome. I’m not a doctor, but I think that in your case, for all practical purposes, there is no difference between the two options except that Epclusa® is 1 pill per day, while Sovaldi® + Daklinza® is 2 pills per day. If your doctor is not familiar with DAAs, you may want to get your prescription from Dr. Freeman via GP2U as I mentioned earlier in the thread.
