Hi Gypsy, This is an exciting time for you, you must be full of anticipation. Good that you do not have to wait long until you get your fibroscan, you’re fortunate to be able to access that technology. As a longtime HCV+ve person who endured multiple old liver punch biopsies, I was relieved when the far more comfortable fibroscanning became available.
I am looking forward to reading your progress reports over the next weeks and months. You are on your way!

Forxiga (Dapagliflozin) is a SGLT2 inhibitor, good to know this has been helping you with your diabetes

Hi Ahmonz, It is good that you are going to get your G6 treated. What medications do you take for your diabetes?

Hi Janet, Other people on this site retreat all the time, so I would assume your specialist is wrong in this topic. You were UND at 4 weeks, so just keep on hoping for the best. It is too early to work through next options. #flower #flower

Hey Mr Hunt, As Hazel says, all you do is sign up on the Redemption page, there are no contracts, The only ‘contract’ Is the one you have to make with yourself to take the pill at the same time each day until the end of the treatment #flower

If you stumble when you are filling the online Redemption trials forms, just contact the good folk at fixhepC, and they will guide you through. Or come back onto this Forum for advice from your well wishers here.

Hi Margie, yes help is at hand. #flower Keep looking for the right threads on this site. There is a search function on one of the tabs at the top. Also the index tab. Take a look at the link in this piece (re.) posted by our fellow Forum member, Iain recently:

A nice article written by Lucinda Porter regarding importing generic HCV medication to the U.S.A, and FixHepC.

Apologies if this has already been posted previously.

Star, ‘sleeping around 16 hours a day’ when you are now nine days into treatment sounds like it is challenging for you. Dr James replied last week on https://fixhepc.com/forum/helpful-hints-during-treatment/1516-i-m-so-tired.html#24023 saying that this (sleepiness) should disappear after a week or so. Sleeping as much as 16 hours a day is disabling if it prevents you getting good meals, hydration, exercise, #love sunlight, and the other good stuff that supports recovery.

I am not a doctor but I would suggest that if your somnolence persists much longer, that you should speak with your own doctor to see if there is something more going on than you would normally expect.

Hi Ratus, This may be another example of the old idea that so long as you eat a variety of foods each day, and over the course of weeks and months, that makes it hard to eat or drink too much of any single food constituent. The table in here shows soy isoflavone levels in different foods

in simple terms tea has about half the caffeine of coffee, similarly cola-type sodas, three coffees each day Is plenty. Perhaps try making tap water a habit for every second drink, it’s usually cheaper and it is healthier
