It seems to me that Fixhepc only became a problem for the authorities when the DAA’s were listed on the PBS. We have laws in this country prohibiting pushing of legal drugs to patients possibly to ease the burden on the system. Imagine a system where this wasn’t the case and the manufacturer could advertise the shit out of their product which would place a larger burden on the taxpayer. In this case it would be a good thing as the meds work for most but with many other drugs it would be a bunfight which is probably why they leave it up to the medical profession to prescribe meds to patients free from interference. It relys on their honesty and integrity but opens the way for some unscrupulous ones to engage in Payola I guess.
We have a good law that has snared an open and honest information sharing entity whilst trying to protect us from a bunch of dodgy bastards.

Hello Ms Joe firstly you don’t need to travel anywhere secondly who from India has contacted you. Check out our Pharmas Market section and see if they are listed there.
As for the difference between the generics there is none, lots have used the Chinese Mesochem product.

Wait all is not lost we still have the notice board at the local liver clinic
On a more serious note Dr Freeman has created a wonderful resource to assist with treating Hep C and to aid in the procurement of safe and reliable meds to treat this virus for people worldwide. Given that Aussies now have access to PBS meds it’s only logical that Fixhepc has become more relevant to overseas sufferers. The ball is in and has for some time been in the court of our overseas members I guess when it comes to furthering the cause that the Doc has started.
Cheers

Thats great news for the people of North Africa but I don’t think Africa was ever Gilead’s target market. I expect this will piss them off quite a bit though as it may embolden other countries to take similar action.

Buongiorno Ray, have heard of taking the meds straight with success as Gaj said 400mg sof and 66mg dac is the correct dosage. Make sure your scales are accurate and keep your meds cool and dry in closed packaging of some sort. Good luck and keep us posted mate.

I know this is out there Doc but is there a therapeutic dose that could be considered for G3’s who relapse just to keep the virus in check once it’s cleared ?

simone wrote:guys i have now spoken to tim at monkmeds. i have still some reserves. first of all it is a bit weird that some of you bloggers sort of LIVE online and give all new comers like myself the same indications. what is it?? some sort of foxtons where people are on commissions??
anyway, i would like to have more info on monkmeds. who of you used it? i have noticed it s cheaper than the rest ie this here site. why?
hmmm
Altruism is the answer to your question Enrico.
Most of us have had this virus for decades and are quite intimate with the workings of several liver clinics and feel like walking pin cushions from the amount of blood tests and we have had for no result. We are also disgusted that meds are available to cure this virus but accessing them for many is almost impossible. Fortunately access to meds now for Australians is easy and cheap which is probably why the British,American and New Zealand members on this site are more active in helping others source these life saving meds.
Get the pills any way you want Enrico but just make sure you do, you then may feel angry and then compelled to assist others to do the same. Or not.

simone wrote:hi guys, thank you for all your answers. a weird thing just happened. i started the online procedure for the online purchase of the meds via fixhepc and being a bit dumb i uploaded a nice picture of myself instead of a proper ID. duuhh, hep c truly affecting my brain (on top of me being a vain italian!). anyway, i never concluded it but i just got an email from the company saying to upload a proper picture and that my payment has been received…what payment?? i havent paid anything? i think it is possibly a generic answer but if this is the level of service i will expect i am a bit concerned. we are still talking about over a G, i mean, not peanuts. what do you think??
Not really sure what you did Enrico but if you make an online appointment at http://www.gp2u.com.au and have your info with treatment will be arranged.

Price wrote:Yes, but they must use the Sofos with Ribavirin and interferon and it has to be approved by their Minister of Health. I hear that Roche is behind it. They’ll pay for the Sofos so their interferon will be used for a while.
P
I think there is a few countries that have stocks of Interferon to use up, come to think of it the pharmas probably dumped some interferon onto countries at bargain prices.
