A quick word of encouragement, LG.

Went in to see my specialist last week after SVR4 results. It was pretty clear from the results and our conversation that she pretty much considers her work to be finished with regard to my Hep C treatment. We talked briefly about the odds for long term SVR after acheiving SVR4, and they’re excellent.

She said to go ahead and have EOT +12 labs done as they have already have an order for it, but that she wouldn’t need to see me for another year.

She then gave me the standard required warning abut reinfection (actually laughing a little when she had to do the bit about IV drug use). It was music to my ears though, because I knew what it meant. She believes I’m cured, just as I believe you are cured.

Looking forward to confirmation of your SVR12, LG. I know you’ve got this!

I’m so proud for you fitz, enjoy your new found health my friend. Make plans, Go where you want to and do all the things we put off because we were really sick…visit all your dream places. Just because we have new found health doesn’t mean we can sit around and do nothing. Note: that last sentence was especially for me too! :)

So yes the waiting game….I am so good with being UND right now I’m not stressing about it, but I will say it dies enter the mind occasionally. It does especially when a twinge on my liver side acts up for a spit second, I think …..then I think naw I’m good.

    Hi Donna,

Thanks for your kind words ☺️☺️

I was diagnosed 10 years ago and there wasn’t a choice so I did what I thought was best.

I like your attitude as I’m willing to buy meds and do it without my Drs support. However, I think they will help, and as you say they have a duty of care.

Looking forward to telling my story and a happy outcome

Yes I too was told I have the right to life saving medication i.e.: Duty of care….BS.
If you or anyone is not sick enough they will not give that right of meds or duty. Bottom line, I’m glad they didn’t as they wanted me to take Vikera Pak w/Ribiviron, I don’t think so?

So my GI acted like he was forced to take my bloods but now he sees it is the same results that they get with branded Harvoni.
I’m glad I went with GP2U, I’ll never look back.

    In good health to you

    London welcome to the forum.

To answer your question it was dragging for many years until I started treatmentt. Once I started the energy levels picked up many times over and I began to think clearly again for the first time in decades . Oh yes it is the HCV make you drag and think not as quick, and you can do something about it .
I’m no doctor and I don’t give advice but my opinion is if you can get in on the GP2U trials, I would get in and get treated now and get on your way to SVR in 3 short months!
I did it, follow my blog and many others blogs who also made it through with barely any side effects to talk about .

Do you know that there is another avenue out there besides big Pharma with the same exact quality prescription for 1% of the price it’s incredible . Also the physicians, the connections, the members/people answer every email it is an incredible program and big kudos must be given to Dr. James Freeman, MonkMed, Dr De Debasis and everyone else involved.
You have landed in the right place, you will have many friends here who will move you forward and want you to succeed. Take advantage of this opportunity while you can and don’t look back.

In good health to you my friend.

    Wow only 1 year!
So I would like to know, how many lives have you saved, how many life paths have you changed, how much positive impact have you been a part of, how much hope have you personally seen and touched? I know for sure you have saved many lives and one is mine. Just 3 1/2 – 4 1/2 short months ago I was resigned to die with this disease like my three brothers did, you have now given me hope that I do have a future and I can make plans and I now have hope.
I’m not trying to be melodramatic, but realistically you saved my life.
Thank you is not enough, im still not sure what is enough, can a person really measure that? That is an answer that may be left unsaid, for now.

My GI Doctor stated if it was detected it would say detected, period. He unequivocally stated I was undetected since first 4 week testing to EOT.
Also he said, GI Doctor, the lowest a undetected Quan or Qual can go is <5-6 if you have the right testing equipment. He said, GI Doctor, it is impossible to test to zero in Quan or Qual and there is no testing available to tell you with 100% accuracy to zero.
So please chime in here and show me a testing web site that is governed for quality research to state that a HCV test can go to zero.
I plainly don't get the testing standards for HCV. It seems every doctor has their own testing protocol, very strange really.

I am EOT just yesterday. It is ever so slight and just occasionally I feel a small and just barely noticeable twinge in my stomach side of my liver. All in all….the pain I used to feel is 99% gone with this the only issue.
    I’ll check on abdominal aorta.
