I meant non responders to the creatine supplement. The way creatine works shouldn’t interfer with hep c meds. It can cause stomach aches, diarrhea, or both in a very small percentage of people. It will most likely cause weight gain to. It pulls water into your muscles, which causes water-weight gain and makes muscles look bigger initially. (You don’t actually gain muscle fibers until you work out.) I would always run anything you take through your doctor. Most recommendations I see from most hep c websites etc say stop taking everything but A multi vitamin mineral supplement and vitamine D when on treatment.

Creatine is the most studied supplement of all time. It works. There is evidence that some are non responders but most usually are. There is a ton of info out there. Stay away from the fancy stuff that doesn’t work and stick to Creatine Monohydrate. 5 to 10g a day. No need to load it. Back in the day they say to take 20g a day for 5 days but new research says no need to.

@debs “They are on a philanthropic mission, rather than making big profits”.
Not hating on them but there a business. The first order of business is to make as much profits as possible. You can best believe they went into this to make profits off the situation. Good for them. Not hating at all. But a “philanthropic mission”? Maybe a little bit.

Curcurmin extracts have been linked to liver failure too.
If the curcurmin in turmeric wasn’t bioavailable in the mixture I make, it would have all the amazing symptom relief that it does.
Perhaps people just don’t know how to prepare it.
Plants are synergistic medicine…a recipe of parts, not a single part that can be drilled down and “isolated”.
Its such a masculinist fallacy :D
I’ll leave it at that though cos this is seriously off topic.

Masculinist fallacy? I guess we will just disagree then. Some know better then others and will always have different opinions. For the massess out there don’t believe everything you read and do RESEARCH. Real research and not sites like Doctor Mercola or Mike Adams (Health Ranger)etc.

Yes DT thats what I found out the hard way.
In the end it was the Turmeric that won the day.
But I also realised that whole herbs are whole for a reason, and that extracts are almost always inferior.
Human beings always meddle with things too much.
Whatever I’ve done to myself it hasn’t been too detrimental to my liver. I had a fibroscan yesterday…4.7kpA.
Not too bad after probably thirty years with this virus and an extremely misspent youth.

Research shows the complete opposite. Especially when it comes to Tumeric. The good parts (curumin) is not absorpable and they need to make a extract to get some absorption. Extracts are mostly always better for absorption and to get the most precise part of the plant or herb.

As Chejai said, this site if for support of those with HCV and no-one is judgmental of others.

I have just finished 12 weeks treatment with Sof/Led and hopefully heading toward SVR in 12 weeks. :)

I’m not hating on him or anything. Good luck with your SVR in 12 weeks.
