Foxes in charge of the henhouse, huh

“shareholders will be allowed to vote on resolutions that would require the drug makers to publish reports evaluating the risks of the pricing policies for the medicines

….As a result of some pricing strategies, there may be real and practical consequences with payers and policy implications in the form of potential oversight or regulation,” says Meredith Miller, the chief corporate governance officer for the trust.

Specifically, the trust wants to know drug development costs; relationships between pricing, clinical benefits and patient access; price disparities between the U.S. and other countries; price sensitivity of payers and patients; and whether payers are increasingly likely to use cost-effectiveness techniques to make reimbursement decisions.”

Great to know there is an easy postal route now for you guys in the US, removing the need to play tag with the admittedly charming Rachel from Mesochem heh. Good stuff :)

Congrats too splitdog – all the best for kicking off treatment. You’re on the train now :)

Hey thanks everyone for the words of advice :) (peanut butter sounds good, cheers splitdog)

I agree Em, I think the restlessness is related to sleeplessness – I have nights when I can’t sleep at all, then the next one like a log :P Also have been feeling a fair bit of anxiety lately but it could be that speedy feeling you mentioned Paul – inconveniently my body has a habit of equating any adrenalin with fear/anxiousness anyway, I think its a PTSD thing heh

Also had a bit of that sudden crushing exhaustion ala the norm pre-treatment tiredness – fatigue is one of the common tx side effects I know but this seems more than just that, unless I’m reading too much into it. Always a possibility lol

I ceased taking omega-3 too after the queries raised about its interaction with dac – habitually I took a fair whack each day (3000mg) so here’s hoping it didn’t suppress any of the dac’s action.

Great to hear you’re doing so well Paul, really stoked for you :)

Many apologies Tomas! Great to see you’ve joined the band of growing UK generic-rebels…I bet it is a relief for you :) (and to have those branded boxes with ‘Cipla’ written in large doctor-friendly letters lol)

All the best for starting treatment mate :)

Great to hear you are doing better sonix, swimming half a k a few times a week is massive progress. Fingers crossed here for your 4 week bloods :)

Interesting point you and GAJ make about hot weather; I’ve always been fairly intolerant of it (thx to my Scot/Brit forebears maybe lol) but its been a real struggle the last few years. Never considered the possibility it could be hep-related so your experiences are intriguing on that point.

Wow that is a promising development, klhilde – from the contact I’ve had with Monkmed they are incredibly helpful. If they can get this up and running the benefits for US heppers will be immense :)

Awesome news LG, finally you’re on the road – woohoo!

Really look foreward to hearing how you travel, all the best that it is a smooth journey for you :)

(and I think you’ll put weight on no problem…our systems have been under a massive onslaught for years, but once they have a decent shot at it relieved of the need to do constant battle I reckon you’ll go ahead in leaps & bounds :) )
