Hi everyone
I have to say I'm feeling VERY relaxed coming up to 12 weeks post EOT. So relaxed that I'm not worried that I can't get back to the doc for 3 weeks after my bloods.
The months pass.
Sometimes fast sometimes slowly.
The odds are hugely in my favour, and in the unlikely event I do relapse, I have many options. More new treatments than I can keep up with, and if RPA can't help me I know I have somewhere to go.
Dr James I hope you know how this much means.
There have been many posts by people who are stressed out following EOT (including me). I read a comment in one of those posts implying that people weren't ready to live without the gift that keeps on giving.
Wrong, wrong, wrong.
IMNSHO it's more a case of feeling that the UND result is just too good to be true, more so for people who have been through the living hell of interferon. I reckon this is normal. To imply that people can't get into the mindset of being HepC free, well that is just weird to say the least.
Quite likely you have been feeling pretty damn fine during your treatment. In the weeks following EOT things will change as the meds leave your body. It took my body 9 to 10 weeks and a short break from work to stabilise. Looking back I realise I should have taken a week or 2 off straight after. I recommend this - do something that makes you happy, rest and take it all in. I'm aware it's not always possible but at least do small things that make you happy.
Feeling pretty happy and lucky that I have health back. It's a Big Deal
Here's a pic I took of a humpback whale while I was in Tonga earlier this month. Because cetaceans.
