I don't really see the problem. He'd already posted it on the internet himself. Once it's out there it may never be gone gone. At the very least, it could always be picked up by the Wayback Machine .

I think if she's going to delete whole threads like the one with the India Times story where she got it completely wrong but won't admit it, she's fair game. Seems even her devotion to Gilead isn't as great as her inability to admit her own mistakes.

I wonder if Joy, as a committed Christian, is aware of the story of Judas Iscariot and his thirty pieces of silver. Joy is obviously taking a bit of chump change 'support' from Gilead. Probably reasons to herself that her God takes a more pragmatic view of such things in the modern world, or some such nonsense.

If you're hosting a forum about chickens, cats or old cars it probably doesn't matter much if you rant on and post misinformation as the host and moderator. If you are hosting a forum on a subject as serious as hepatitis C, I think you have more responsibility not to be posting misinformation as the moderator of that forum.

If the mod of a car forum said, "I think all fords are junk and made out of poisonous recycled nuke plant metal", its probably no big deal, everybody likely knows its not true. Conversely, when you tell the visitors to your site that chinese generics are junk and like eating poison chinese dog food (she said that), I think that's another matter entirely.

While most of her acolytes love what she is selling, no harm there. Its when the person who comes in who doesn't know the subject and is looking for real info about treatment options, that the potential for harm becomes real, and at that point I think the host of a forum on this subject has a responsibility to do due diligence and not post misinformation.

I'm blocked from accessing the forum at all at the moment but it must be just via cookies because I changed from Safari to Chrome without changing my ip and was able to load it from there.

Before you talk about the small "g" word you need to talk about the "G" words they like to hear to lull them into a sense of false security - Gilead, God and Guns. Mess with their minds, coach, mess with 'em real good.

The FDA’s policy on personal prescription drugs into the U.S.

In most circumstances, it is illegal for individuals to import drugs into the United States for personal use. This is because drugs from other countries that are available for purchase by individuals often have not been approved by FDA for use and sale in the United States. For example, if a drug is approved by Health Canada (FDA’s counterpart in Canada) but has not been approved by FDA, it is an unapproved drug in the United States and, therefore, illegal to import. FDA cannot ensure the safety and effectiveness of drugs that it has not approved.
FDA, however, has a policy explaining that it typically does not object to personal imports of drugs that FDA has not approved under certain circumstances, including the following situation:
• The drug is for use for a serious condition for which effective treatment is not available in the United States;
• There is no commercialization or promotion of the drug to U.S. residents;
• The drug is considered not to represent an unreasonable risk;
• The individual importing the drug verifies in writing that it is for his or her own use, and provides contact information for the doctor providing treatment or shows the product is for the continuation of treatment begun in a foreign country; and
• Generally, not more than a 3-month supply of the drug is imported.

To clarify the above, the operating word is available. Is something that is unaffordable "available to me? In short, no. I can buy a new car, but I can't buy a new Maserati. I can afford to send my child to college, but a Harvard education is not going to be available to him unless he does a lot better on his ACT (like a perfect score) than I did.
You really don't have to be lawyer to see or argue this point.
