At this point, I sort of feel like I owe you all an apology for turning over this rock and subjecting you all who read it to that kind of crazy, but I hated seeing all the junk on there being peddled as "fact" to some of the unknowing people looking for info.

That last stuff, I don't even know what to make of that, at first I thought it was just some Gilead shill-speak, but now I have to wonder if even a paid Gilead sales representative would have the nads to make claims like that when its pretty well known by now what the real deal is.

And another thing: I notice that Ejoy and the rest of them are always going on about " MEDICAID", this and that. Medicaid in the US is what you have when you are pretty damn dirt poor and on welfare (the dole)--it is NOT what people have if they have a low wage or middle wage income, and mabye bought a house with a mortgage or such.

People with jobs and a moderate income, are at the mercy of the private FOR PROFIT (and they make BIG profits) insurance companies, and those ins. companies are pretty much UN-regulated by our gov't and write their own rules and policies (like be F3 or worse, test clean of alcohol and drugs for 6 months). So even if you take their crazy talk at face value, the gov't telling various state Medicaid offices what to do, does zero for the rest of the population which remains at the mercy of the private, for profit insurers.

The constant reference of the people on that forum to "Medicaid" and the manner in which they all have posted that they got their meds at little to no cost, really makes me wonder if they have a clue what the rest of the US population has to go through where we are forced to deal with the private, for profit insurance companies

And if I'm understanding the incomprehensibly inequal US system properly (correct me if I'm wrong here) those who have jobs which are too low-level to attract more than a base rate of insurance...so their health provider would not cover such expensive treatment plus they don't qualify for Medicaid?

actually sort of, but maybe worse than that even cause many people had nothing at all, that's how it was until just a year or so ago, you could work full time, but therefore make TOO MUCH for medicaid but you sure as hell didn't have enough money to afford the private for profit health insurance, so we had something like 40 million people with NOTHING, and they just went without, unless they were about to die, or broke a leg, or had a heart attack and then they would just have to show up at the hospital, and some hospitals would even turn them away and tell them they had to go down the road, some people died while they were being shuffled to the poors' hospital down the road.

that changed quite a bit with what is now called "Obamacare", which made govt subsidized private for profit health insurance affordable to minimum wage folks. However, there's a very large portion of our republican politicians and presidential candidates who have dedicated themselves to repealing this evil scheme to give people healthcare. They actually voted to repeal it about 35 times, but couldn't do it.

And yeah mate, sadly we do. I know "individualism" is held up on a pedestal in the US, but what is a nation if not a community as well. Hell, even Maggie "there is no such thing as society" Thatcher didn't dare dismantle the public health service in Britain.

You would think USA Home of the Brave Land of the Free would let there Citizens import life saving meds to save themselves from various diseases (obviously not that free).
Another thing if I was a US Citizen I assume Gilead is US based why are they charging their own people more then rest of World not right.

Far as I know, Gilead obtains around 50% of its profit from hep C meds, and the bulk of its treatment-potential-population is in the US...so why not squeeze the most lucrative market.
