LG she has adjusted well after some sides the first few days. Getting better as it.goes which is great.

So an 80_90 kg male could do 625mg sof and 135mg dac comfortably, i think? Em

Might be an option for someone with a high level of fibrosis or cirrhosis. I know the higher doses were trialled, up to a week if I remember correctly. I'm 95kg (no comments please, I get enough from my wife!) and F0 fibrosis, and the standard dose is working fine for me.

'some sides' ? 'a little flu-like'? ;-) good to know things are getting better for your friend.
Interesting though, dose adjustments, so is it not so much length of time as dose then?
does high dose over short time = low dose over longer time ?

Hi AD, weight, fibrosis or geno based, maybe? If specialists, GPs start tinkering with this they may punch out a few more.percentage points in revard to clearance rates? These drugs wont be around longn enough, in my opinikn. Theyr already looking at 1 shot experimentals that are getting the same clearances rates. Em

Interesting question re weight and dosage, thanks for the feedback everybody. I'm 53kg and 5'7" so in that lightweight category: talking with Dr Freeman yesterday he suggested a possible slight drop in dosage for daclatasvir at least until a bit of tolerance had been reached might be needed - of course eveyone's individual mileage may vary when it comes to personal side effect response. Will have to judge it when the time comes :)

That does seem like a very reasonable way to go about it, rather than trying to titrate the dose down Paul...which is gonna be an inexact science heh Cheers for the suggestion!

Sure Paul, will do. I should have my first GP consult sometime tomorrow, I've only let her know about treatment in a brief phone message. Both of us have got a bit of time to get up to speed though...a lot to take in :)

Hi everyome

On the road with limited communication in remote area. My 4 week RNA still detected under 15. No RVR for me, anyway ill give this fucker 24 weeks and see if it wants to stay around. Disappointed but confident of cure. Em

Only 4 weeks in Emilio, less than 15 good and apparently tests can often detect dead virus'

On another subject, you seem to be very busy? Hope you're not overdoing things and getting enough rest / sleep?

Hi Em,

Here's slides on resistance data.
www.clinicaloptions.com/Hepatitis/Treatm...sistance_Slides.aspx

They show that for people who do have NS5A resistant variants, the 24 week tx is the one that does the job more or less 100%. The 12 weeks is good but not 100%. So just in case you have some of these fuckers that just don't want to lie down and die, I think you are good with 24 weeks.
