After nearly 21 years and 2 rounds with the devil treatment interferon and then this treatment it’s gone I don’t know how many times I thanked James but it was a lot ,I’m so glad I saw him on the tele and then came on here and got treatment and all the support from everyone on here, I thank you all and to ,all involved in the Fix HepC site and the treatment you all deserve a medal.
I cant explain how grateful I am for what everyone has done to make this happen ,this is the best Christmas present I could ever dream for I fought a long hard battle with this virus and it’s good to have a win finally.
I hope all that visit here ,contribute and show support to others and start treatment can achieve this result .
I’m going to have a few beers this Christmas and that’s something I have done for a very long time
Again THANK YOU James and the team you are all Legends to me
And I wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas and a healthy Happy New Year

This is great news for me after having the virus for about 28 years and 3 goes at treatment. It seems that us GT’3’s need on average longer tx times.
cheers

25 December 2016 at 11:18 am #24808Hi hazel, my boyfriend is having GT 3 since 10 yrs ago. Currently he also having cirrhosis for the past 6 yrs. can you advise which treatment should he take ? He is staying at Malaysia and can he get the trial ? How long for the trial long for ? Pls advise yr experience. Thanks !
25 December 2016 at 11:00 pm #24811Hi Chong, Malaysia is ok I think for Redemption trial- generic medication, here is the ink http://fixhepc.com/home/redemption-etrials.html
I am a patient not doctor but they will advise- I took 24 weeks sofosbuvir and daclatisvir which cured my genotype 3- and cirrhosis. Good luck.
Genotype 3 30 years, 2x treatment interferon/ribavirin non responder. Cirrhosis 17 years. Fibroscan, decompensating, 40 down to 22 by 29/3/16- now down to 6.5, normal, no cirrhosis. Started Buyers Club Sof/Dac 14 Nov 15. SVR 12 29/0716
26 December 2016 at 5:15 am #24812Hi Chong, Hazel has provided some good advice. The following link will provide further information to his doctor about what is required to prescribe and monitor treatment https://fixhepc.com/forum/forum-gp-cheat-sheet.html
If his doctor is not supportive then he could arrange a Skype or similar consultation via a telehealth provider such as https://gp2u.com.au/new_to_gp2u.html or https://www.monkmed.com/redemption/
To ask specific questions about your boyfriend’s situation you or he can email help@fixhepc.com or phone (international code) 613 8672 7825 (There may be slight delays in response at the moment due to the holiday season)
