Hi sirchinenge
Well Dr Freeman can provide ongoing consultation/care, scripting, api testing and compounding. Now GP2U is batching individual orders in consultation with mesochem and as this system expands Dr Freeman will be able to provide better pricing and perhaps the ability to have the testing done free of charge. Lets hope this supply chain holds firm so that this service can become so much more. Em
21 September 2015 at 6:15 pm #1424Hi Em,
I did post that one could have Dr Freeman do everything needed to have ones medication shipped direct to
the UK its the option I’m taking myself. As the posts came in various questions were asked I tried to answer them with the information I had on hand.
As a side note as this is about China.
Before I found this site I’d all ready emailed China at the weekend I got the reply today-it certainly looks like
buying direct from China is no longer an option.I worded it exactly as Greg suggested. Unless there was something lost in translation it seems they are not selling to individuals.

All liver functions in normal ranges.22 September 2015 at 7:01 pm #1430Hello everyone.
I am Sean from Dublin. I was diagnosed with GT 1a and a Vl of 2m. in 2008. I did Tx with Interferon and Ribavirin in 2010 – it didn’t work. I have been waiting for Harvoni to come on stream with the health service but it looks like I will be waiting a long time as I am not sick enough in that I don’t have cirrhosis yet.
I have been following Greg from Tasmania’s progress for months now and was planning a trip to Delhi to get generic Harvoni but now it looks like that has been delayed indefinitely. So, I have have been checking out getting API’s from Mesochem. They sell Sofosbuvir and Ledipasvir. I sent them an email last week telling them I am in a medical research project (Greg’s suggestion). I got a reply and they can sell me what I need : 35 grams of Sof. and 8 grams of Ledi. for $1941 = €1743. A return flight to Beiijing is €450 – €500 – a lot cheaper than I thought it would be.
I have an appointment at the liver clinic with the consultant on Thursday. I might run this idea by them but somehow I don’t think they will approve. I am also trying to get my G.P. onside in the hope that he will write me a prescription because I have been informed by the Medicines Board that it is illegal to get prescription medicine sent through the post to Ireland. However, if the medicine is in the form of API’s, rather than packaged tablets, then I don’t know what the law is.
I am ready to go next week to Beiijing. I just want to be sure that if I get stopped at customs that they won’t confiscate the stuff. Any advice anyone can give me would be appreciated.
Cheers, Sean.

12 week SVR at end of April ’1622 September 2015 at 7:18 pm #1431Hello Sean,
Maybe you could return with the meds to the UK where they ‘should’ allow 3 months of prescription meds through, preferably with a prescription to prove it is for your own use. From there get a bus / boat over to Ireland.
If you know somebody in UK willing to let you use their address, it ‘should’ also be ok to get the meds shipped in via UK where you could pick them up.
Have a look at the Buyers Club here, (go to getting treated, how to do it) which may save you a trip to Beijing.
Good luck,
dointime22 September 2015 at 7:46 pm #1432Hi Dointime.
Thanks for your reply. I would be travelling via London anyway as there are no direct flights from Dublin. It is legal to bring 3 months worth of meds into Ireland from abroad so long as you have a script and you are carrying them with you. It is illegal to have them sent through the post or by courier or to buy them online. I am going to get back onto the Medicines Board and see what they say about API’s. Will let you know what they say.
Anyway, it seems like there are some options : whether it is getting the stuff from the Buyers Club in Oz or getting it sent to a mate in the U.K. or even getting generic Twinvir from Bangladesh – every day it changes. The genie is out of the bottle and Gilead are not going to be able to stop it now ! At least I hope so

12 week SVR at end of April ’1622 September 2015 at 7:58 pm #1433Sean,
I am also in Dublin and have had my GP write me the scripts needed to buy direct from the Buyers club I’m then
having them sent direct to London I travel to London on a weekly basis. Why don’t you direct from Dr Freeman and have them shipped to London fly to London and
fly home with them. Its exactly what I’m doing. There is a problem with Dr Freeman”s fax number which I hope is fixed shortly.
Even if you buy APIS In China you’ll have to cap them in London so you can fly back to Dublin. I suspect you’ll
have customs in London wanna know why you’ve got APIS they may ask a lot of questions. The law in Ireland is none of this drugs are allowed via mail.

All liver functions in normal ranges.22 September 2015 at 8:06 pm #1434Personally, I think you run a great risk flying to China and hoping you’ll be able to transport them on your person
they will want to test the substance to make sure its not illegal. If you need a Dr in Dublin I can steer you in the right direction.
Mesochem is now asking for Proof you are in a research program, you may find them asking more questions
then you’d like. I had a reply from China today asking various questions.Lastly, if you are buying from China, have it Fed Ex’d to London or the UK in general, pick it up and either encapsulate
it yourself or find a chemist. I suspect if you try and bring an API into Ireland and customs find it they will firstly take for testing and
maybe confiscate pending on what the Medical Board suggests.Sure, you probably won’t get stopped by customs, as I said i fly bi weekly into London, if you do get searched, can
you imagine what happens with a bag of white powder.I for see no issues with importing the pills on your person its perfectly legal its the route I am taken.

All liver functions in normal ranges.22 September 2015 at 8:08 pm #1435Thanks for explaining that for me Sean. You could also email Rachel at Mesochem and ask her what she knows about mailing the APIs to Ireland.
Personally, I don’t fancy carrying sachets of white powder through airport security, especially with an Irish passport. I have an Irish friend who never fails to get stopped, just cos he’s Irish it seems to me. So even if what you are doing is perfectly legal, do you really want to have to prove it at airport customs control? If you do decide to travel then why not consider going via Scotland, not London. There are some good airlines serving Scotland now which go directly east, not via London.
Whatever you decide, good luck,
dt22 September 2015 at 8:10 pm #1436Sorry, last thing.
I was at the liver clinic in Dublin in early August they mentioned they had patients being treated with the
Indian Generics, I don’t think you’ll find it a problem getting a prescription.I’ve tried to call them back to see if they will monitor me when I get my Medication they are so busy you never
get a reply hence I used my own GP to send my information to Dr Freeman.

All liver functions in normal ranges.22 September 2015 at 8:25 pm #1437Im not sure about this but i think there is no legal requirment for a prescription to have meds sent to uk.i think but not sure this only applies to controlled drugs and anti virals aint controlled.api’s are not treated any different from caps or tablets as long as they are in proper sealed container. glad to hear you heard from mesochem.i e mailed on fri and havnt had a reply.

22 September 2015 at 8:48 pm #1438There is a few issues in this thread.
Personally, Id not try and take APIS on my person. The UK may be OK with this I am confident Ireland
would at the very least take these them from you and have them tested, I was addressing Sean whom
is also in Ireland. Maybe, you don’t need a prescription, Id be of the mind its best to have one.Regardless of what choice Sean makes I was suggesting he would be better off having them in pill form when
he was traveling back to Dublin. The Irish medical board is really annoying in terms of drugs bought outside of
Ireland.I sent two emails from two address’s to China. One had Greg’s suggesting I am in a research group, the first reply
was, pretty much no, I wrote back, I was asked for information proving I am having them encapsulated by a
Chemist. In the second email, I asked for a quote for X amount of two drugs, I received a quote today, make from this what you will.

All liver functions in normal ranges.22 September 2015 at 8:58 pm #1440For Ireland its simple.
It needs to be shipped into the UK and flown back in on your person with a valid prescription who
writes the script is not an issue. Can you imagine taking a capsule of powder into through security? First thoughts would be its an illegal substance. You then run the risk
of it being confiscated in the UK and returned after testing.I am confident, Dublin customs would take the APIS and send them off for testing and asking the medical board
if its legal, you run a risk of it being not returned. That said, there is rarely custom checks between Dublin and London there is so many flights daily, its not considered a
risky route. I guess as someone in the same position its not a risk Id take.My opinion is why take these risks when you don’t have too its just that, an opinion.
