You are right. The FDA import rule is pretty straightforward though the beginning sections are counterintuitive
http://www.fda.gov/ForIndustry/ImportProgram/ucm173751.htm
There are enough groups writing to FDA and Customs on a daily basis to ensure that the channels stay open.
Thanks
Tim8 December 2015 at 11:48 pm #5579Doctors in the US will write prescription for generic. e.g. Instead of Harvoni it will be Sofosbuvir 400MG and Ledipasvir 90MG. If you are in the US and unable to find a doctor willing to write you a generic prescripion send us an email at care@monkmed.com with your state & city of residence in the US. Doctors can only write prescriptions for residents of the state he is licensed to practice.
8 December 2015 at 11:51 pm #5580Hi,
I have a question
Why when Gilead sends Harvoni in india writes always LIFE SAVING MEDICINE? https://www.zauba.com/import-harvoni-hs-code.html
It is done only for the customs. The same can be done for Ledifos when being imported to USA
LIFE SAVING MEDICINE is written only for personal importation, it is denoted only on small quantity 3 or 6 bottles.

7/07/16 UND SVR 249 December 2015 at 12:21 am #5582Ok, Tim claims that Monkmed can deliver to pretty much anywhere in the World. I asked him how they deliver to countries that don’t allow postal importation of meds, and his reply was essentially that they expect those countries’ customs officers to show compassion. Hmmm….
I asked Tim what Monkmed company policy is on shipments that get confiscated, but he didn’t reply. Seeing that he was still online and in chat about 30 minutes later, I pm’d him about it. He didn’t reply.
I’m locking this topic and putting a ‘buyer beware’ advisory on Monkmed until they are verified by The Doc, and they clear up their delivery policies.
19 December 2015 at 11:22 am #6689I’ve re-opened this thread because Monkmed have now been verified, and their shipping policies have been clarified:

MikeIts an interesting issue, I think the manufactures across all brands have managed to not only keep generics of normal
drugs at bay in Ireland they must have some influence in the aspect of imports via mail or online. The decision is made by the medical board, I think as its a small country you’d probably not get generics through the
mail or Fed Ex hence i picked mine up in the UK.For example. We have the highest prices world wide ,we have nearly no generics across all drugs,we the consumer
pay a Max of 140 per month on drugs anything above that is covered by the Health authority. Our budget for Hep C treatment in 2105 was 36 million at 60 k per treatment over all the market in Ireland is only
2 Billion for everything I’ve seen the Govt try and get generics written for basic shit they seem to have a awful job
getting GP”s on board.Over all my point is many European Countries have a very protected market when it comes to Medicines.
Ps; Monkmed looks great too me!

Thank-you Tim, Dr Debasis @ MonkMed & Dr Freeman @ Fix HepC4 February 2016 at 4:10 pm #11169Since I started this topic a lot of water has passed under the bridge.
REDEMPTION has begun and with it came the need for a secure, dependable organization to “expedite” delivery.
MonkMed has become “go to” source for the importation of quality, licensed generic medications from India. I am only aware of a couple of people in the U.S. who had Customs issues. Both were successfully resolved. MonkMed played a significant role in the resolution process. I believe if your package fails to arrive, another will be sent to replace it.
Its almost like MonkMed was founded with REDEMPTION in mind…
Your can put your trust in MonkMed.
They will put the medicine in your hands.

30 March 2016 at 4:55 pm #14642The answer is yes, lots, but please type “MonkMed” into the search and you will find pages of results with people speaking about their personal experience with MonkMed.
YMMV

I think if MonkMed was NOT delivering as advertised, you would see a lot of people howling.
I have seen or heard nothing.
