Sofosvel came today from Beacon. :) Dr. Freeman recommended I wait until Voxilaprevir becomes available for the triple-cocktail treatment. It will be hard, but I will wait. I recently had a fibroScan test done and I just entered into F3. The shipment from Beacon went smooth as silk. I got a script from Dr. Freeman, which he forwarded to Beacon, then the bank transfer. That was all that was required. It came to the US in 3 days.

Yes, GS-9857. I don’t want to hex anything, but the triple combo I believe gave 99% with type 3 previous DAA failures. The first results from phase III trials will be available in January.
    Thank you, Paul.

Should we start a new thread titled ‘Vox”?

    I found this today:
In summary, administration of multiple doses of GS-9857 was well tolerated and resulted in a robust decline of HCV RNA levels in patients with genotype 1–4 HCV infection. Notably, the potent antiviral activity of GS-9857 was preserved in the presence of commonly observed NS3 mutations associated with resistance to protease inhibitors. GS-9857 demonstrated linear PK when administered at doses ranging from 50 to 300 mg under fasting conditions. The median half-life of GS-9857 ranged from 29 to 42 h, conducive to once-daily dosing. Lastly, GS-9857 has demonstrated additive antiviral activity when evaluated in vitro in combination with sofosbuvir or velpatasvir.[5] Together, these data support the further development of once-daily GS-9857 in combination with other DAAs for the treatment of patients with chronic HCV infection.

Vox works best for retreatment. It has gastrointestinal side effects, however it is effective for previous sof failures.
Vel is not very effective for previous sof relapsers, but is recommended for treatment-naive people, because it has no vox-related side effects.

Diet and gastric ph are very important with velpatasvir. One must think what and when to eat to keep gastric pH low. Side effects disappeared 2 weeks after, unless I ate anything < 4hrs before the pill. SVR60.
