    Hi LG
    Re fibroscan
Since the botched peginf I have had several for various reasons
    I’m measured around 5.6 Kpa
That converts to an F0 score
I had one more elevated reading at 6.0 which was F0-1
My median reading is around 5.6 giving a F0
Here are the measure conversion charts
I wouldn’t call myself an F1 neither does either of my specialists. Maybe you’re F0 at 5.6 because I am called that and am not changing it. My worst reading was at 6.0 as I said but I am back in the 5s and an F0.
I hope I am even better than that after a while postDAAs
My doc said people without hepC have worse liver health just from lifestyle factors
Chrck out this chart anyway you may agree with my F score conversion given by my docs for your own F score, if you mean 5.6 Kpa
    Xxx
The reason I have had several is that I was NOT tested prior to peginf so it’s been for reasons associated with query over that mad decision made by a certain specialist on my behalf!!!
    Love from Ariel

    Hi
I’m tired sometimes and not other times
My threshold is very high however I have developed an iron skin. If I find myself dozing off too much I get outside and get active and soak up some fresh air. I may sound glib but I am not meaning to be I have had an extremely rough ride before these meds and I find that these are bringing all over excellent results on tx which psychologically override the intermittent fatigue, such as I have regained weight, my skin hair and nails are healthy, my hopefulness quotient is high, I can actually see a future worth investing in again. These factors plus I was much more fatigued post peginf for three years have countered the sporadic fatigue of my last few weeks of tx. When I do need a day in bed I just take it. That’s about one day a week since week 8.
I’m much happier with that than every day sleeping half the day for more than two years which was how my life was rolling before these meds.
I hope you get your tiredness sorted and it’s nothing serious but just a regular sx like LG, Ken and I mentioned xxx
    Ariel
Ps I always check in with the doc if I am concerned about any sx :)

    Thanks heaps Chejai!
Great to know your updates thanks very much for explaining I am thinking of you upp there. I was just checking flights and acomm this morning to celebrate my EOT with some warm waves …saving madly now for that.

I am also one of those thinking about mutants as you know, because of that damned peginf rot I went through.

I cleared to UND early like you too, but as tx nears its end I am having that little voice saying ‘should you extend…”

I have decided no for now, I feel pretty good. On Friday I saw my public Hospital clinic and the gastro seemed so confident for me too. I wont follow their EOT check up regime though, I will be more vigilant, and check at 2 weeks post EOT too be sure nothing is going awry. I have enough sof/led here anyway to extend if I wanted to, I bought a double course going in because of a stupid hospital drama, I think it is written up back in my blog around week one. That could be a blessing if I need it!

I hope you get through your move okay.
Hopefully the fatigue and dizziness are not too ridiculous for you this busy week. Drive slow too, I sure am. Driving has a weird extra speedy sensory thing going on I find lately, looking forward to not driving at granny speed after tx!
Stay safe and keep in touch, Ariel xxx

    Welcome Beaches,

Pleasure to meet another water baby. I relate to the addiction of swimming, I was an 80 lap a day girl for many years. Now I surf just constantly, yes the ocean is the best healer and I love how it brings you into the moment, no thoughts for anything else but the sea, and the rhythms of the body in it.

I surf on tx, in fact I surfed yesterday…The tx regime seems to have varying sx during it’s course as Gaj pointed out there is a euphoria initially; in my case the first month of my 12 weeks sof/led I had migraine despite constant hydration, so took it easy but yes still surfed when I felt up for it, and I do TM, the second four weeks were easy, some tummy grumbles which are best sorted with water sport defs, and now at almost week 10 have insomnia but am surfing around three times a week….fatigue is starting on and off, I just slept all Saturday daytime,t’was a good catch up day.

I have done peginf/riba which is disgustingly debilitating so this tx is very easy in relation to that.
I think it is all relative, and all about mindset, and all about the individual. You are used to pushing yourself to sport and yoga and so am I with surfing and TM. I just do it.

One thing I note is a heightened sense of speed, I get it driving too, not particularly pleasant, it can create confusion so I drive around twenty Kms/hr lower than the recommended, much to the disgust of other motorists.

Re sport, I am very aware not to go too crazy for the adrenaline I usually crave. Choosing smaller days, although yesterday I paddled a reasonably solid swell, I will attach pix the magical beauty of my waves, I am at near end of treatment and find I am loosening up my self protective streak.

Re sides being very individual, I also had some BP issues during the middle section of tx, Pat1 has started a good thread about that sx, not everyone gets this but I was surprised to find out mid tx, and was helped by Dr J, and it is sorted…so that is an example of the individual nature of sx people report. In the forum here you can search issues and also check in Experts Corner for side effects etc. however, overall I think this tx is very mild and I just go with the flow mermaid style.

I hope this info about my lifestyle helps with your query, but the main thing is good luck for your tx, keep chatting, this is a very supportive and useful forum

Thanks very much Joy! I appreciate it :)

Only 1 1/2 weeks to go on tx now, is going to feel strange not being woken at 6am every day by my phone heh. And I guess that is where the real waiting starts – to see if the cure holds out. Strange that even with such an almost unequivocal likelihood of cure, there’s still a small, niggling space for human doubt :P I was amazed enough at the 6 week UND stats lol

I haven’t had surgery mid tx and haven’t had a rough time compared with peginf which nearly killed me but I am also becoming more anxious about EOT Zhuk
I’m such a laid back person but anxiety snuck in a door during peginf and hasn’t gone. I’m seeing a psych once a week for the last six weeks of tx and the two after for support
It’s certainly a time of wait and see!
We can always re-treat if any nasties reappear that’s the good part I find great comfort in, we are so fortunate to have this place and access to meds that actually work and don’t half kill you!
Good luck you have shouldered a fair bit for sure

Thanks for the warm wishes Chejai
I hope all is okay with you can you divulge the reason for extending
As I also get closer to EOT my natural anxiety is kicking in due to the issue of having been through peginf and the possibility of mutants
I plan on getting a 2 week post tx bloods done as well as the 4 week so if I have any issues I can jump straight back into tx
Usually relapsed peginf do a 24 week course but with my low VL and good liver health I was prescribed 12 weeks so crossing my flippers for sure. I’m UND since around day 32 so looks good so far
What’s happening at your end? Xxxx

I’m glad you sourced tx here Gaj
I’m sorry to hear about the HCC and hope things are much more straightforward from herein
I understand the immune system crash but escaped the HCC rather, I developed other secondary nasties all of which are gone or watched
Thank gawd for this magic stuff. I’m off topic too but following your story.

    Speaking of boobs
If I compare my hideous experience on peginf which popped me into hospital and cost me my body weight I was covered in weeping sores lost 2/3 of my hair lost my mind and more developed rare reactive lymphocytes with abnormal morpholpgy developed severe neutropenia thrombocytopenia etc etc was pulled off at 43 weeks with potassium low enough to risk my heart well compare that where I told my immediate family ie siblings and mother who completely ignored me were repulsed and frankly rude, with if say I had announced early stage breast cancer I truly believe the hot meals would have arrived the cleaning would have been done etc
But no. I even had a serious house fire on peginf I was so sick and brain dead. I received no help cleaning up or with the replacement of the two rooms that burned.
I had a child in final year at school and another in uni.
A sibling was an IVDU for several years many moons ago but has nothing and was impeccably rude and cut me off.
I am not IVDU but have the disease who knows how I had three risk factors a procedure in a third world country, acupuncture, and manicure and pedicure.
I haven’t outted my story here like this before but the comments about boob cancer brought this out because it’s so goddam true I lived it in reality
I had a boob scare years earlier and it was resolved by a small half centimetre scar unseen now but oh the compassion the flowers the cards!
I don’t resent or take away the breast cancer journey in saying any of this trust me I have lost two very dear friends to that illness. But its a good point you make gentlemen.
I now do have benign masses in each breast since peginf which were not there before so I have them being watched. Mind you even mammograms are under suspicion here in Oz thanks to some European doc dissing them for “over diagnosis”
    Can’t win!
Well I have officially gone slightly off topic and this defs qualifies for a #rant
    I haven’t had a #rant for a looong time
I hope Gilead slip on my banana peel

Oh and my family members with the no hot meals and no care factor
Thank God for my divine two daughters one drove an hour and a half in happy tears just to hug and hold me when my UND came through from these miracle meds
    Bless em the darlins

Hey Jill yes the hospital was a loooong wait for me I wrote up on my thread it’s called “Ariel takes the plunge”
Re giving out scripts I watched patients being pushed back to later appointments as I sat for a good hour in clinic also no obvious people’s on tx. I sat waiting for the nurse to “find a doctor for me” in a room for a good while. That went well but to note, the doctors who is usually there has gone overseas at this time hmmmm. I was also made aware not many people wear on tx and well I bought mine so I guess not many are available on PBS who knows how triage works!
I was told same verbally a week earlier as a response to my comment on the phone to receptionist “I bet you’re flat out now its March 1” no she said its very expensive and no we are not etc …..
I basically started tx before I told them and presented on tx “assuming” I would be seen after an initial phone call to the receptionist to say same went pear shaped back a few months ago, like you I wasn’t sure if a public hospital would see me using generics. The first consult on generics was about a 1/10 and the second about a 2/10 lol.
Saw a different gastro on Friday and she was lovely but clearly relieved I was UND. I am sure they are getting a lot of agro people wanting meds because I asked straight up. I’m so glad I ignored the gift wrapped speech by Minister Ley and after the knock back in Dec 1 ordered my script and meds. By the time her announcement was ready I was on tx. It irks me that I know some very unwell people who believe they will be treated but no nothing yet.
I agree about costing us time waiting around with the virus it’s like holding a bomb with the fuse lit but the fuse is of unknown length. The virus doesn’t just enter your body it enters every part of life. I’m so glad I landed here.
My bloods and all are being done by my GP and I am just using the hospital so I have the “specialist” contact as the original script came from interstate, and we have to have a specialist.
Well lovely to talk re hospitals and tx and the rollout
Almost into week 10 for me and hopeful for a successful EOT and SVR. As a peginf relapser I will do a two week post tx bloods just to watch for any signs of hidden resistance that hasn’t shown but hoping for the best of course. Been UND since around day 32 on these but of course time will always tell.
Have a great day thanks for touching base
Hoping your tx is chugging along and you have the extra nukes sorted Jill
    Xxx Ariel

Ah LG the eminent Geoff Dusheiko yes I had a referral to see him when I was considering a purchase through Alcura around fifteen months ago ….. but fortunately this marvellous site came up and my mortgage didn’t wind up groaning even more under a trip to London and a 45 k pounds price! No price for health I say. But sometimes it is just too ridiculous and that option was beyond me for sure!
What a coincidence! I hear and read excellent things about Geoff. I was referred by my Sydney chap who wound up writing my script here, as I couldn’t find anyone in Victoria to write one. I’m here now the rest is history! I was trying to find ledispivir in India before that too but couldn’t I could only find Sofosbuvir so couldn’t fly there and save my neck. Gawd we have landed in the best place that’s right here.
I must say I really exhausted so many leads due to cost prohibitive and just being led up the garden path then bam this miracle happens here! #flower
I’m glad you’re backing up your tx with an extension its super smart choice making
I would do it in a heartbeat if any sneaky mutants from old tx pop up instead of SVR I already have a plan of attack. It’s all about the cure here and we are just so lucky so very lucky.

    Hi there hun
    Thanks for posting
I’m sure that’s the best thing damned nuisance but maybe that bug you had messed things up mid tx and now you have cleared the infection your good to go for round two
I’m not going anywhere when I finish my EOT so I will still be supporting you on from the next round.
I’m glad you’re playing it super safe we just have to do what it takes yeah?
Keep posting because we will all be backing you on this news
You got a good liver report that’s another positive too big relief.
Are you adding six or twelve weeks? Xxx
You’re in good hands that’s the best thing too. We are all really the first global group after trials finished so I guess it’s going to be a while before any really concrete data is available on tx duration, EOT outcomes etc on a large scale
    Keep strong xxxxxx
