Hi Alsdad,
Well done for getting fibroscan done on NHS.
4.9 is a very good result!
My joints are playing up a lot on treatment specially my back and neck and I get a tention headache from the tight muscles in that area.

They are doing great job!

Today first time ever I started feeling discomfort around liver area. It doesn’t mean my liver is hurting, it is probably as somebody suggested my liver is shrinking back to normal size and the tissue around it is tender

Hi Zlickster,
I take fish oil, but not at the same time as meds because it may interact with the absorbtion. I take Dac/Dof first thing in the morning with planty of water and the fish oil sometime in the afternoon.
With regards to checking your bloods I think 2nd and 4th weeks are important to see how well your are responding to the treatment and after that if everything is fine and you get negative result you should maintain your SVR until at least the end of the treatment.

Hi Cindi,
I had a natural birth but with some complications. My viral load was sky high I guess. I didn’t know about it at that time.
I’m on my 3rd week of treatment and looks like I’m responding well. Once the safe doses have been established for the youngest group, I hope our remarkable doctor James would organise a trial for us.

Today I received my first blood test results taken at 2 weeks point. My ALT had dropped ftom 110 to 32 u/l and it is now within the normal range. Everything else is in normal range as well.
My Viral load test will take up to 10 days to come back, but I’m sure it will show an impressive drop too.

Hi Cindi,
My little girl has been infected at birth too. I have exactly the same feeling of guild. I’m waiting for the results of the trials too and as soon as they establish the right doses for the youngest group, I will be looking to start treating her. She is only 3 years old and seems fit and healthy but she does complain of tummy discomfort and gets tired a lot quicker then other children.

Tight muscles in the legs stops me from running. And yes, started to check my phone recently when out and about because it feels like it vibrates in my pocket but no miss calls.
I feel dizzy less and less now

A few people mentioned joint pain as HepC related issue. I also suffer from it. During the treatment it has worsened and I’m wondering if that’s because I’ve stoped taking fish oil and other supplements. Is it safe to take fish oil during treatment? I hope it would not interfere with the absorption of the meds.
