Hi
Hello everyone, I’m new to this site. I’ve noticed there have been posts recommending to avoid I’d some fruits ie grape fruit etc..I just had a Cup of licorice tea and as an after thought decided to check if it potentially inhibited CYP3A4..I think it does..my concern is has this one cup of licorice
Damaged my chances for a sussessful outcome re treatment..It’s only early days for me re commencing treatment ..Feeling worried .. I’m due to take my 3rd dose of Sol/dac tonight
Any advise would be appreciated

Also not a Dr but with the one cup you will be fine, liquorice has been identified as a cyp3a4 inhibitor but I couldn’t find anything on how strong the effect was. As splitdog says and given you are only two days into treatment that won’t be a problem, just don’t keep drinking it. If you search the site for “CYP3a4” you should find plenty on what items to avoid.
