Had to check where you were at because I thought you were waiting for meds to arrive but I've confused you with someone else, dointime.

Uh! What is going on in the UK? I've posted a bit on a UK forum. I thought it was bad here but the UK seems to be in the dark ages on this stuff. They still seem to be prescribing interferon combos at a furious rate. What's up with that? Yesterday's drug AFAIC.

I'm in Tassie and happy to extend the same offer as emilio. You can come stay here if you want. Plenty of room. TBH I have a bit of a kind of "survivor guilt" over all this. Doesn't feel right that I can get on with the rest of my life while others hang in limbo or worse.

The initial resistance to people going with generics has pretty much disappeared here. I'm being monitored through the local public hospital (I think they're actually finding it quite helpful to be getting lots of experience with people on the new drugs before they finally get funded). Apparently even BMS who supplied my Dac under compassionate access know people are getting the Sof from India and China and no longer care. Although I think that's largely because they're being cut out of the action by Gilead's pricing.

Many thanks for the offer to stay. So kind, survivor guilt notwithstanding. Yes, I think it is marvellous what is happening in Oz and Tasmania. Feels like a renaissance taking hold over there in the midst of a sea of darkness all around.

Sometimes I even find it funny how closed UK society still is. For example I found out that there are no compounding pharmacists here for individuals to access. Why? My guess is that Big Pharma doesn't want people making their own formulas at a fraction of the cost. So I looked all over the internet to see if i could get hints and tips on the basics of successfully encapsulating the Chinese APIs myself. The most useful advice didn't come from pharmacists or herbalists, it came from the illegal substance users who are well used to manipulating small amounts of various powders. I now know how to scoop, weigh and fill the caps and have been duly warned not to try it while on LSD.

I believe the testing only takes 24 hours and is all done in Tassie, compounding might add another day or so. I've just been reading up on the contraindications particularly in regard to the Daclatsavir and interactions with CYP enzyme. : fixhepc.com/forum/experts-corner/108-dac...ractions-cyp3a4.html. Shit I'm still on AD (Sertraline) from my last tx mainly due to laziness and not wanting the hurt, along with knowing that I'd treat again soon. I'm waiting to hear back from James about this as there seems to be weighting for each drug and it's interaction. Might need to start weaning or it may be okay? Not sure? I'm on 50mg daily. Em

You can capsulate them yourself. Easy. I cap Turmeric as well as Moringa. For less than $50US, you can do it yourself. So much for our trip to India.

Yeah they can be filled with a range of stuff, however, given that my APIs are being tested I thought for an additional $70AU why not get it done at the same time. Yeah that would have been good and I'll work out who you are don't tell me. Thinkin australasia lol Em

Good for you. I was having a little private bet with myself that you would. I know that you were in a hurry to treat.

One of the things I like about the Mesochem option is that it goes straight from the hands of Mesochem into the hands of Fedex. While that is not a guarantee of supply line integrity, it's better than the India option where you get it from the hands of a distributor and who knows where it's been before that on its way from the manufacturer. I mean, not that you can't find a trusted Indian supply, just that you need a little more faith.

Meds are tested compounded and due to public holiday in Victoria today (Friday) and then in NSW on Monday my meds won't arrive until 7/10. That's funny, 3 days to get from China to Australia and 8 days to get from Tasmania to NSW, obviously the public holidays have made good old Australia post look average. Baseline liver testing today, so I wait patiently until next Tuesday. Em
