Really sorry to hear your news Paul. I reckon reducing high GI carbs and sugar is the way to go next time as others are saying. Wish I'd heard that advice before I started as I reckon high glucose levels are responsible for my slow response to Sof/Dac (I'm pre diabetic). I've relapsed so many times I'm finding it hard to stay positive about curing this time.

I know GT3 can be a bugger to cure but I reckon you'll do it next time. Just wondering why you are doing Sof/Dac again rather than waiting for some of the pan genotype drugs in the pipeline.

Hi Paul - I've been relocating for the past few weeks so am slowly catching up with the news. So sorry to hear yours but liking your attitude - it is what it is so lets get on with it.

Thanks all for the reminder about the carbs and glucose. I've taken less notice of this while I've been moving and things have crept back into my diet that probably aren't helping the fight.

Thanks for the dood wishes guys and gals the Sof and Dac are Pan Genotypic Marie. We will see what the 4 week bloods look like by then there could be news from Barcelona regarding G3 tx options.

Yes, if it was me I'd be trying the low GI diet as much as possible, it's not too hard & sugar cravings get less & less quickly when on that type of diet. Bet it'd make a difference.

Paul, do you take R lipoic acid? I was taking it but stopped once I started treatment. I found it lowered my glucose levels (proven by blood tests) and I'm convinced it lowered my viral load as well. Might be an idea to take it in the months before starting treatment again to get the vl as low as possible. Do you know if it's OK to take while on treatment? I miss its glucose lowering effects.

Hi all, I used to take Alpha Lipoic Acid pre tx and stopped on tx as there was no guidance. I am wondering if that was the right thing to do too should anyone know.
