    Hi There,

I was wondering if anyone is attempted to import Hep C medicines into Canada.

Thank you for answering my question.

    Hi Zara,
I am clueless here. Do you know someone in the U.S. that could import them and forward them to you?

I had a Canadian lawyer explain to me that if they arrive in the mail/courier and get stopped by customs they won’t be allowed to enter the country. OTOH if you could get them sent to a friend in the states and then go down to the states to pick them up, with a prescription, it is legal to bring in a 3 month supply for your own personal use.
I am sure a prescription from the people at GP2U would work just fine if a Canadian doctor doesn’t want to write one.

    Hi Zara,

I just did a search and found this post from Dr Freeman.

    http://fixhepc.com/forum/technical-support/835-different-cas-numbers-for-daclatasvir-and-ledipasvir.html#13361

So the Redemption eTrials can ship to Canada. US$1500-1600. Here are some details on the trials.

    http://fixhepc.com/home/redemption-etrials.html

If you decide to take that path send an enquiry to help@fixhepc.com explaining that you are in Canada, are interested in participating in the trials and whether you already know anything about your HCV details like genotype, treatment history and fibrosis levels. They will then be able to explain the process you will need to follow.

It seems I am not able to import these medicines into Canada by mail/courier. The Canadian Custom won’t allow them for sure.

Here is the link I found from FedEx website: http://www.fedex.com/ca_english/international/regulatorynews/prescriptionreminder.html

    Canadian Custom: http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/dhp-mps/compli-conform/import-export/gui-0084_biu-uif-eng.php#a6

I don’t have any friends in USA that can help me.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

Advised you on what to do. The clinical trial is online, go to the links Gaj gave you and look into it. That would be the only way if you don’t know anyone in the US. good luck!!

Below is the link that I forgot to include previously showing the registration of the Redemption eTrials as approved Clinical Trials by the US National Institute of Health. All the correct paperwork will be met by the trial partners to ensure that Canadian customs laws regarding your participation in a foreign clinical trial are complied with fully. So all completely legal.
