Have you tried Parag Jain at Bull Pharmachem. He is recommended elsewhere on this forum. I believe he will have an associate here in the US this coming week. Here is a blog post by Greg. https://www.hepmag.com/blog/access-affordable-hepatitis-c-treatment

Countries like Thailand are not included and with 1.2 million patients with HCV the bill to treat them would be $120 billion or over 25% of their GDP ($400 billion) and 8 times their entire annual health budget.

30 May 2016 at 5:28 pm #18053There is no harvoni or any of the new generation of DAA’s in Mexico yet and certainly no generics. They are supposedly beginning clinical trials soon, but I have heard that for over a year now. They still only use interferon and riba. If anyone has had success importing/bringing these meds into Mexico it has simply been good luck while crossing the border. That was my case. I had a prescription on had when I came into Mexico with my meds and paapers explaining my genotype viral load etc in case I got stopped, but luckily nobody looked.
There is a form you can get a lawyer to fill out and then take to court if you want to import meds into Mexico but it is a bureaucratic nightmare…

The most straightforward way to access quality meds is through REDEMTPTION, especially if you don’t have a prescription.
You can also order the APIs directly from Mesochem.
If you have a prescription, you have options other than Indian meds. I will send you a PM.
There is absolutely NO NEED to travel further than your front door to access perfect copies of Harvoni if you live in the U.S.
I am currently abroad and have spotty Internet access. Listen to Gaj and the others.
They are giving great advice!
REDEMTPTION-the name says it all.
Get well.

7/07/16 UND SVR 242 June 2016 at 5:19 pm #18260Just found out the judge ruled in his favor! He will get the 24 weeks of Harvoni. I was hopeful because the judge asked so many questions during the telephone hearing….I read it on here somewhere, “appeal, appeal, appeal”. The doctor gave up after the second Medicare appeal,so I muddled through the third phase (Administrative Law Judge or ALJ phase here in the US) myself. I think it actually played in our favor NOT to get a lawyer as suggested for this phase. Joe phoned in his request for appeal as allowed, so someone actually had to hear his voice to transcribe it, and I spoke with Sylvia, the judge’s assistant a few times. She even called me back to let me know my “evidence” was received when I sent a page of the WHO Treatment Guidelines for review. It never hurts that someone knows there is a real person here needing help. The doc’s PA was awesome….I’ve had hell with the institution since Jan – Joe has just been “lost” in the system…..they can’t stand me at this point…..but she redeemed them all that day. Just got 2 week labs and are excited to be on the road to recovery..

As sick as Joe has been – that is both heartbreaking, and inspirational.
Respect to you, and Joe! It takes real guts and grit to stand toe to toe with the system, fight the gatekeepers for lifesaving treatment, and finally prevail.
You are one special gal, Mrs. Joe! .Congratulations to you and Joe!!! I look forward to following Joe’s recovery here on the forum.

Hep C RNA NOT DETECTED”13 June 2016 at 8:16 am #18966Cheers and thanks to all on this site. My first post so apologies in advance if this is not relevant but just had this first hand experience at a major liver center in Bangkok. American expat living/working in Asia for many years. Recently retired and living in Northern Thailand I discovered a month ago I was HCV active. Type 1a, F0-1, VL 4.9M, treatment naive and probably infected in the late 60’s by intervenous drug use. Had fibroscan at Samitivej Hospital in Bangkok. After fibroscan had a meeting with one of their liver specialists. He said Samitivej had very recently aquired the branded non generic Gilead meds and were currently treating folks from Thailand, HK, Singapore and surrounding countries. I was quoted a price of 145,000 THB (about $4000 USD) per month for treatment (meds and follow-up) The meds were not being sold in 12 or 24 week supplies so treatment would have to be for people local to the area or had the time to spend in country. I enrolled in the redemption e-trial but my meds were stopped at Thai customs and could not be delivered. Requested the meds be returned to sender and was promptly refunded. Many thanks to you folks for providing the truth about generics through all the (lies) disinformation and fear campaign spread by Gilead and their cohorts especially in the US. Nothing short of criminal / economic genocide IMHO. Also for people who are sceptical about the claim of a full refund if delivery of meds cannot be made. (IT’S TRUE) Luckily I was able to aquire a 12 week supply of generic harvoni in Bangkok through a trusted contact from Greg J. Have just finished my first week of meds and am happily reporting my results to the redemption etrials. Cheers and best of luck to all.

Thankyou for informing us of the current treatment options in Thailand and associated cost and restrictions.
Great to hear of your experiences with sourcing your own generics. While it is unfortunate that your attempt to participate in the Redemption eTrials was prevented by Thai customs, your experience of obtaining a prompt refund will no doubt be reassuring for others considering taking part in the trials in other countries.
It is also good to hear that Greg Jeffreys as able to assist you in finally getting the medication required for your treatment and that you will now able to contribute your results to the database.

Great you have the magic stuff reading your story I especially related to the being surprised bit when told about having the illness…. But I don’t have it now and pretty soon you won’t either
Why? Because we have taken matters into our own hands and got the action happening.
I’m stoked to read of Joe getting his meds too great news from over there Cowboy. Fitz and Meg too, it’s all good.
From my perspective, having completed tx and now about to have my SVR12 blood pull, well I can’t believe the recent increase in my overall zest for life and energy. There is so much hope
Keep spreading the good oil on generics we need the world HepC free asap. One things clear
Everyone agrees that FixHepC has integrity to that aim!
Amazing and life changing stuff
I’m looking forward to you all blogging your treatment and wellness
Love from Ariel13 June 2016 at 8:50 pm #19000Hi cheese, welcome t’yeh. Your determination to get treatment at an affordable and fair price is inspiring. Your equal determination to be a useful contributor and supporter of the Redemption e-trials is equally laudable. Our Dr. James is owed this for his same determination to help level the field for all those who would otherwise have no recourse. And yes, I say “our Dr. James” because we are commensurate in our feelings toward him and his toward us. May I, as a fellow citizen of planet earth take this opportunity to say thank you to both of you
