Hi, I am about to start daclatasivr/ sofosbuvir and am curious to know if there is anything specific to avoid while on treatment that I may not have heard of ? Also what time of day is best for taking pills to combat side effects? Thank you!

I believe you need to avoid taking Milk Thistle and St. John’s Wart.

It’s great to have you on the forum. To check for interactions this is the best online tool:

About taking the meds: It’s really up to you to decide when. The big thing is to take them at the same time every day; and to take them every day. Do not miss a beat. If you forget a dose then take it soon as possible. My own system involved every morning without fail, waking then taking.
As back up I kept a stash in the bag I take out with me each morning. That way I always had the meds to hand if needed. So if you you will always remember to remember to take the drugs

I’m not sure how you are viewing the forum currently but if you scroll to the top of this page you will see set of blue tabs that provide shortcuts to various areas. If you click on the one labelled “Index” this will take you to forum topics by category. Most of the information you ask about can be found in the Experts Corner section under the heading
. Here is a link to that area, the yellow ‘pinned’ posts at the top cover most of the Daclatasvir relevant information although a read through the others may also assist.

(The “hep-drugsinteractions” checker that Mnem links is excellent but more geared towards medicines/pharmaceuticals than everyday foods and drinks, etc. though it does list some of the more well known consumables like Grapefuit)

You’ve been given some good pointers already. This is a good thread discussing Daclatasvir
Taurine is in red bull and other energy drinks and some body building supplements. We got it added to the literature because we saw people failing on treatment because of it.
You will find the official manufacturers detailed instructions here: https://fixhepc.com/medication-information.html
There is both the simple patient info version and the complicated doctor one.
YMMV
