    Hi Doxner
I read your blog it’s honest and raw and I like it and yes the first few weeks were a bit testing I recall but that’s the tx doing it’s job as most of us quickly find because this stuff works darned fast on a high percentage of people.
I will be excited to follow your progress to cure and reading your story
Sending you happy splashes for a great outcome

    @ariel

    Good morning from Australia
    A year ago today
One year today the 12 January 2016 a parcel arrived
Inside this parcel was the medicine that has saved my life
    The process was easy
    The treatment was easy
The FHC team at Tasmania were professional
Dr James was available for any issues I only needed bp advice personally.
I “sacked” the public hospital here that had treated me badly.
My GP and I followed the recommendations on FHC and we did all my PCR RNA and VL and LFTs etc privately at labs sourced because they had the most accurate assay range.
By Day 25 it was obvious I was cured.
    I cannot stress enough
If you are unsure about your HCV and what to do get yourself treated
If you can’t find help it’s right here
If you want cutting edge latest tx come here
If you want real support come here
If you want hope not fear come here
So Thankyou Doctor Freeman and Greg and all at FHC
The 12th January is a special anniversary I hold dearly and thank you for making my life easier. No trips to India were needed no trips to Alcura in the UK….nothing fancy or complicated at all!

All the plans I was setting up in desperation after my experiences were pffht off in a moment, when I found I could access my cure here at FHC so easily, so professionally, and surrounded by supportive people with knowledge.

    Good morning
I can’t see your signature so I don’t know what other if any tx you have done
Interferon leaves a lasting legacy and I think that’s often confused with harvoni after cure is achieved imho
I have bouts of feeling normal and still some tiredness but yes you can see I did peginf tough and I had this sx from that ever since.
Maybe check in with your doc or book a GP2u if the fatigue is really serious for your peace of mind
Wishing you a strong recovery and as someone said once before we have been sick for a long time give it time things will get better

Hopefully this new drug is available asap and G3s can get into a higher percentage cure cohort and not have to do such long tx and have the worry of possible relapse. The new drug sounds very promising
    Wishing all cured, everyone.
It’s worth the long fight to be free. I’m feeling it one year after starting sofled as a scared skinny sick relapser who is miraculously cured after five years of hell. I wasn’t G3 but I have experienced relapse and I care. And as to meds? This site is the go to for the most credible up to date support.

    Thanks AK123
    Yep same here
First hit of the poison = No more period
Don’t know what menopause is like because of peginf riba tx.
How could we know when all we did was vomit lose weight lose our hair get covered in bleeding sores and lose our short term memory and feel suicidal from a toxic poison that we were told would save our lives but destroyed them permanently. I get asked about menopause and I have no idea it I ever had symptoms because of all the other stuff being so very severe. From peginf.
Nice legacy of permanent bone pain too eh? Grrr.
There’s more but anyway I’m just living now and the DAAs worked and I am HCV free.
I’m doing life in ten minute bites at a time that’s my way of setting small goals and achieving what I need to do, including taking respite at least once a week from my responsibilities.
It’s too hard to explain it all isn’t it
    Sending hugs

    Dear Coral
Thank you for sharing your treatment updates and congratulations on reaching halfway through and the riba. I send you condolences for your loss of your dad as a daddy’s girl I feel deep pain over loss for a daughter of her father. My own died 11 years ago but it still feels like yesterday. Pat1 lost her dear dad during her tx it’s somewhere in the maze of forum posts and I know it was tough. You are one strong woman facing up to retreating and family loss. The courage you take forward will be forever and that’s something not many people have. I think people who have fought this illness hard are really amazing in many ways, learning to ride out bad news, rejoicing in good news, uplifting others, reading insightfully between the written or spoken words to the heart of the real person. I’m sure serious illness across all types has a profound effect on most people who have walked in our shoes and it’s only good. Affirmation of the strength it takes is so important.
Sending love and huge splashes of happies on your halfway mark, and look forward to your updates Coral

Dear Life, Fara, Lynne, LG, Fitz, Sven, CJ, nads, Sabre, Coral and I hope that I haven’t left anyone out Thankyou for the kindness
Coral I send you big love for taking time out to think of us while you go through another tx I am very humbled by your kindness. I am thinking of you always and wish you the rightful cure you deserve.
Thanks for the loving wishes for my child everyone it’s going to be a long inpatient stay, but enough details here just thanks so much for your kindness.
Me? I’m recently diagnosed with severe TMJ and have meds if they aren’t working in a couple of weeks then check up for something else. However the symptoms are classic apparently. Not that I had ever heard of TMJ but it sure is a beasty to have. It presents with similar symptoms to mild stroke, numbness in one side of face, hot nerve type pain that radiates, extremely sore neck and around the ear to the eye, migraine and if it’s even possible increased tinnitus! The tinnitus was intense before but for the past three weeks it’s ridiculous!
Not whinging please don’t take this as seeking sympathy but it may be something to be mindful of for those of us who have had a lot of invasive tx, who knows where this came from huh!
The meds regime for it is just pills haha more pills just when I had kissed them goodbye apart from the BP pills which I need now also after so many tx experiences and I am aware others are also in this category.
Well the suns finally out, the surfs up, there’s no wind for a change and I may get respite from the four hours of travelling to and from the hospital today. I think someone else is doing the caring today it’s Saturday here in Oz.
I might just get lucky and get a few glassy waves yay! Flippers and fins crossed.
Sending my love and happies to all
Thinking of our GT3 friends who are retreating or waiting.
