Hi Cameralady and Welcome,
You are nearly 2 weeks in now so your treatment is well underway and you’re just that bit closer to being HepC free. Yay!
I’m so pleased that you have good people in your corner. All kudos to your lead nurse.During my treatment I found that my energy levels went up and down and some of this is probably due to the normal fluctuations
that everyone experiences. I think that having Hep C and then having the treatment makes us super tuned in to our physical and emotional selves.I really noticed the difference when the virus cleared. I felt like a dark cloud had lifted and I just felt more energetic and lighter in mood but I still had low energy days. I followed all of the good advice here and tried to be kind to myself.
Looking forward to seeing your updates.

28 March 2017 at 10:11 am #25698Hi Edge – good to hear from you.
Not so long to go now until you finish your treatment. I relapsed (on the DAAs) and finished my second round of treatment nearly 6 weeks ago. Things feel pretty good so far.
I think I also had every sleeping pattern during the treatment. Good sleep then falling asleep easily and waking at 3 am, then not falling asleep etc. etc. It certainly does sap your energy during the day.
Since finishing treatment I’ve had quite noticeable insomnia (can’t fall asleep until the wee hours of the morning). I’m hoping it’s a passing phase but I’ll take that over the virus any day!
Good luck – those last few week will fly by.

I’m about 18 weeks post treatment Coral and the Insomnia is noticeably wearing off now, I work nights and take 1/2 a stillnox to sleep still but not for much longer I think.
I am still overly sensitive to heat but hoping that wears off soon.
cheers
Two time relapser.

1 April 2017 at 7:12 am #25743Hi Paul,
Is that 18 weeks for you already? Good to hear that your sleeping patterns are settling down. The insomnia seems to be easing a bit for me as well. I certainly caught up on some of my reading!!
Keep well and let us know when you hit the magic 24.

All – just received some updated results. Blood taken a week ago, 19 weeks in. Still showing UND, with ALT at 23 and AST at 20. Only 4 weeks to go now to EOT.
Coral – hoping I’m not hit with the same insomnia!! Haha – first I complain at having now energy and now I’m complaining at the thought of no sleep! Just can’t be pleased, right?!

4 April 2017 at 9:50 am #25765Hi Edge – great results and the last four weeks will fly by.
I know what you mean. We lose a virus and gain an Attitude!
There are so many different side effects that you may not be hit with the insomnia stick. I’m happy to report that things have settled down a bit now and I am sleeping much better. I’ve made an effort to be the healthiest I can be (within reason – I still love champagne and chocolate) and I think it’s made a difference.
Dr F emailed me today about my 6 week EOT results and it’s all good so far.
Looking forward to your EOT post2 May 2017 at 1:17 pm #25950Thanks Dr Freeman. Made it to EOT. Now the road to SVR begins!
