It seems that Lesovir-C doesn’t get as much airtime as Twinvir so I thought I would share my progress. I just got my test results back after one month of Lesovir-C and things are looking quite good. All liver function tests are now normal (AST is 33/ALT is 29). VL down from 5,250,000 to <12 UI/mL. Would have liked to come back as undetected but, hopefully in 4 weeks. Not really suffering much with tx at all. A bit of insomnia, really dry mouth and kind of restless sometimes.
So I guess the Lesovir-C is up there with all the othe quality solutions to this nasty virus...

When I went to pick up the meds, that someone so graciously brought back from Bangladesh to the States for me when they came to visit, I stuffed all 12 bottles into 2 to come back to Mexico,
I guess the 7 pills to a bottle makes a kind of sense if you are being treated in Bangladesh. With the brain fog and all, it’s pretty easy for me to have doubts as to whether I really took my pill in the morning.LOL. I have begun to mark it on the calendar as soon as I take it, but a bottle with a weekly supply in it could prevent stupid accidents.
A PITA is you want to import them, though…

8 February 2016 at 7:35 pm #11512Thought I would write an update going into week nine here. I felt great for the first 6 weeks or so and now over the last 10 days or so I am feeling like complete crap. caught a cold around 6 weeks in and though it’s gone now I have been on a steady downslide in to feeling lousy. No energy, everything hurts. nausea, dizziness, itchiness, no appetite, really sensitive to changes in temperature. Sucks. I have a really busy week and no idea how I am going to get through it.
I am going to see my doctor today to arrange for my 8 week bloods and see what else he thinks I might need to check

9 February 2016 at 1:56 am #11550Hi Ken
At 7-8 wks of Tx I experienced a huge change in the way I felt. It felt as though my body & meds were meeting at a point of resistance. I could not tolerate the lazy heat of a warm summer day and experienced headaches, felt fatigued. At the time I was also experiencing stress at work and my BP was up. I just had to stop what I was doing and reassess. I withdrew from work and friends and just rested up. I decided to work with the meds instead of the other way around. I need my income but I need my health more. I am 9 wks now and as every day passes I feel a new regained energy. I do really hope that your doctor can help.

.forever grateful to fixhepc9 February 2016 at 4:13 am #11568Pat,
I hope he helps as well. I am in the middle of Mexico where these meds don’t exist in their original form or generics so I am kinda on my own. I am going for my 8 week tests tomorrow and a few extra tests the doc tagged on. If all remains mysterious I think maybe I will book an appointment with my test results with the kind folks at GP2U and see what they say. I am hoping it is just a tx slump that will take care of itself as yours seems to be doing. I tried taking 2 days completely off from the world and it might have actually made things worse. Who knows…

16 February 2016 at 1:29 am #11976Hello all,
I just got my 8 week tests back and the viral load came back undetected! Hurray! The malaise i was feeling about a week ago has gone from horrible to manageable, so things are looking up. One weird thing is that my hemoglobin count came back somewhat high. Anybody else have that particular issue?

16 February 2016 at 1:54 am #11978Hi Ken, Congrats on your UND – Makes it all worthwhile
Interesting re the 6 week mark, at 6 weeks I also caught a ‘cold’ (but really only a v short period of sneezing) , this then went to my chest and sinus’ and caused infection and have been in bed for 10 days on antibiotics! Today I got up and walked a short distance briskley for a couple of hundred yards, came home and felt totally exhausted and cold (v cold here right now in the uk) so I went back to bed to keep warm and have just woken up from a deep sleep, been out for 3 hrs, this is so unlike me.
I have read something about temporary hb spikes, will try to remember where!
Hoping my next bloods show UND like yours !

Thank-you Tim, Dr Debasis @ MonkMed & Dr Freeman @ Fix HepC16 February 2016 at 3:06 am #11979Hey LG. I hope you climb out of it soon. I find that all kinds of physical things , like catching and having a cold, or how i react to different meds that i take for one reason or another feel quite distinct while i am on the hep c meds. It’s like i am hyper sensitive to everything. The only thing that actually tends to make me feel better on a consistent basis is drinking absolutely insane amounts of water. For instance, i (like a lot of people on the meds) wake up after 3 or 4 hours of sleep at night completely parched. Drinking a huge glass of water works like a sleeping pill and i conk back out for another few hours. Oh well 3 more weeks to go. Good luck to you!

16 February 2016 at 5:20 am #11983Hi Ken,
Glad to hear you are undetected! Soon you will be done! I wish you SVR at 24 weeks buddy, and a life free of this crappy disease!
Congratulations!!
16 February 2016 at 5:34 pm #12007Check for diabetes (as per your water/thirst post) and also just start taking some B12 supplements. If you feel rapidly better you will know that’s useful before a blood test comes back showing it it low.
YMMV
17 February 2016 at 5:48 am #12061Congratulations Ken on your UND!
I know what you mean about the thirst, it’s also very hot here too, so excess sweating, probably where you are also?
Good Luck on the rest of Tx
