Well it took longer than some and shorter than others but I had a phone call today from Dr James to say that I am SVR12. Yay!

I had one of them too , its a huge relief. :woohoo:

This is really great news Coral as it gets better and better as your recovery progresses.

    Wishing you all the best.

Well done Keith hope it all works out for you.

It seems the clinics favor waiting until the bug gets well and truly re established and the patient gets sicker before retreatment, thankfully Dr Freeman didn’t take this approach after the last relapse :)

    cheers

    Rattled …. I felt like a walking maracas :)

The tricky thing is working out exactly at which point all the virus is killed off I suppose. After flunking out first hospital trial then 18 weeks of generics I didn’t want to risk a 4th crack at it and yet some get it first go and with 8 weeks TX. Lucky bastards :)

    Cheers

Yes … the meds seem to take quite a long time to leave our systems. In my case nearly 6 months later im only just starting to get normal sleep and my general moodiness has improved. Don’t get me wrong i’m not having a whinge but after taking a lot of meds it eventually took it’s toll but how much of that is the convalescing from the Hep c we won’t ever know.

The important thing is today I feel great :) :)

    cheers :)

Since finishing treatment I’ve had quite noticeable insomnia (can’t fall asleep until the wee hours of the morning). I’m hoping it’s a passing phase but I’ll take that over the virus any day!

    Coral

I’m about 18 weeks post treatment Coral and the Insomnia is noticeably wearing off now, I work nights and take 1/2 a stillnox to sleep still but not for much longer I think.

I am still overly sensitive to heat but hoping that wears off soon.

    cheers

Yes i’m a happy little camper now but not doing much different than before but I do have more energy.

I was all set to give up working 18 months ago as I found it too tiring now I feel as though I could work and travel a lot more which is what I have been doing. Planning next trip now :)

    Catch you later mate.
