Go yew!
12 August 2016 at 9:27 am #22117Hey Ariel and thank you
I plan to do the same as you, hopefully there will good results for me as well. After struggling for many years with HCV and then undergoing Tx to UND it will be very interesting to note changes along the way. I am hoping to have a fibroscan and ultrasound request along with a path request for PCR SVR24 at my new clinicAnyway congratulations on your results and Ty for your Tx blog – you inspire us all
and to LG
“Gawd it’s been a marathon yeah! ” – We don’t need to run a new marathon and add high stress and career problems to the diet ! Recovery from the whole trip is quite mentally exhausting remembering it was all very new when the first wonder-meds came along. It seems so long ago, but really, it’s less than a year -! Amazing how far we’ve come and how many people this forum is now helpingcouldn’t agree more

Thank-you Tim, Dr Debasis @ MonkMed & Dr Freeman @ Fix HepC13 August 2016 at 5:27 pm #22167Since I started annual physicals 13 years ago at age 50, the results have been all over the place. This value high. This one, low. Liver enzymes always elevated.
Now, completely normal.
HCV is truly a “whole body” disease and an equal opportunity destroyer of health.

Not long for my SVR24 for FHC. I’m sure I will be okay with these labs. Flippers and fins crossed

I’m thinking of you while you wait for what must be your SVR24, as you are 4 weeks ahead of me when we did tx. Anxious times for sure and so pleased to share some love back to you.
I’m sure you will get great results; but know only too well that nail biting time we all go through with path of any type, but the SVR bloods are so important, each one a milestone.
Big splashes from me flippers and fins crossed for UND for you again at this last pitstop.
Ariel22 August 2016 at 3:53 am #22427That is GREAT NEWS Ariel! You’re a wonderful success story for Fixhepc. I’m so happy to see you have some “outside supporters” You’ve been an encouragement to me, splashes accepted (not excepted) Looks like you truly beat the beast!
Keep on “keepin’ on” sis,

31 August 2016 at 1:08 pm #22677Thankyou Fitz and welcome back too
I had a small basic day surgery yesterday and it went well.
Just waiting for the biopsy of the one ‘blob’ that was hiding in my gut. It’s gone now I will be just fine.
Much better than the ten ‘blobs’ that were hiding in there last time post old tx!
Thanks to a different specialist who is very well respected locally and I have heard great props from other people about his practice, I was extended a wonderful duty of care. It was a pleasant change from some recent not so great general anaesthetics and not so great ‘bedside manner’.
Peace to you and yours thanks for thinking of me
I’m sure to be popping by occasionally even though I am almost 24 weeks post EOT my time has flown! I’m waiting for your labs, Matt, Beaches, ROHCV, so many others who are on the road near or just post EOT
Happies to all
ArielPS I LOVE the mermaid thanks!
10 September 2016 at 4:35 am #22876Hi there
Sending love to all from the mermaid here
I have two teeth with suddenly formed abscesses since just Wednesday, now on amoxicillin until Monday Aust time when I see the dentist again, and on panadiene forte, I can’t describe the pain.
Had mouth thrush post sof/led, treated successfully but this infection in two roots at the jaw is who knows why, maybe my teeth are weaker from peginf?
Anyway I’m in agony. The panadiene only masks it for four hours and then I am stabbing my pillow again, I have been to the dentist twice since Wednesday. The antibiotics need to start to work before he can work on me. Dang!My colonscopy results are in, I am not trying to bother or worry you all but go get checked if you’re over 50 is my opinion, especially if like me you had a lot of tx over the past while, I did have an adenoma again (only one this time, pretty pleased) While I am not going to go into what type and all, I think I am trying to say: Just be kind to your whole self.
While all this hoo ha is going on here in mermaid land I picked up the SVR24 PCR RNA path request too it’s that time!! Came up quickly which is great but I think I will wait until I have seen the dentist and am out of this hideous pain.
I had no idea that teeth could hurt so much!
