Thanks Beaches and Dr James

Beaches, it definitely didn’t taste like any lolly that I have ever eaten. It worked however … I doubt that it was from a placebo effect.

But more seriously, I do take your point … the fresh ingredient of anything is better than something manufactured.

Next time I will try your ginger & mint drink (mint grows wild in my garden).

For a ginger hater, however, Dr James’ apple juice, celery and ginger sounds pretty good.

Thanks for the tips.

:)

P.S. Just looked on the back of the Buderim Ginger pack … 86% sugar … so, it probably was a placebo sugar pill … but, a palatable one for a ginger hater. :)

“Lollies” are “candies” in Oz slang! Well, you learn something new every day. A lolly in the UK is a certain type of ice cream, and a candy is called a “sweet”. Cultural differences, eh!

And what you refer to as a sweater we call a jumper. And your French fries are chips here (in New Zealand they are chups as in fush end chups).
And we wear thongs on our feet. Not in NZ though, they wear jandles.

For this lil duckie during my delightful 40 plus weeks of loo hugging on peginf I discovered that for me Ginger was the new Black
I’m still using ginger
There’s always buderim ginger of some description in my pantry and fresh ginger in my cooler drawer.
Try it grated into dishes and squeeze lemon juice over it to take away some of the bite if you don’t like the bitey flavour.
I’m a convert. Celery with the juice cocktail too makes it cooler on the mouth
My mouth and I are just beginning to make friends post DAAs lol ;)

Good tip Ariel

I didn’t want to carry on with it last night … but that’s what we do … when I’m feeling crook that is … add ginger to our meals ( <img style=ick:' /> ) with lemon juice (have a big eureka lemon tree out the back) … always loaded.

The moral of the story … ginger and lemon juice is good for a crook liver … in my experience.

A week and a bit out of EOT, not having any abdominal issues but am definitely feeling tired.
Also I notice my resting pulse first thing in the morning (my phone alarm app tells me so) has jumped up a bit, from around 60 to between 64 and 75.
My poo habits are returning to normal which is a Good Thing

I thought that it was just me. I have had a funny feeling in my chest/heart area for the last week now. I thought that I may be overdoing the exercise. I borrowed a Omron automatic blood pressure monitor from a neighbour to check out my blood pressure and hear rate. My blood pressure is near enough to normal, 124/72, but my resting heart rate is up around 69 -72.

Not sure what’s going on. Only 2 weeks until EOT, so I think that I will take it easy for a while now.

:)

I had a stack of energy throughout Tx. HR was nice and low (never checked BP but I’ll ask one of the trainers at the gym tomorrow morning)

Then half way through last week started feeling tired again and thinking o shit is it coming back. Got a bit of a shock half way through the week and maybe it took a bit more out of me than I originally thought

My alarm clock app takes resting HR and since EOT it’s gone up from around 59-60 to high 60s or low 70s.

Ariel says that happened to her as well so I won’t worry just yet and will wait for my appt next Friday for the EOT VL

Hi Beaches

I have had virtually the same experience as you. I felt progressively better every week for the first 8 weeks and have plateaued over the last two weeks, despite getting fitter. I lost 4.5kg over the first 8 weeks and 2kg over the last 2 weeks, so in theory I should be feeling even better, but I’m not. As I said, I could’ve been overdoing it lately. But my gut feeling is that if HCV RNA is undetected at 4 weeks, we probably only need 8 weeks of treatment. We may be feeling the effects of over treatment. In any case, it is always better to be safe than sorry.

Hi Beaches and GT2. My heart rate and BP was elevated post week 8. It helped that I stopped drinking coffee and rested more. After EOT and at SVR4 my heart rate returned to normal. Even at SVR12 some path results were a point here and there outside the reference range but I am not concerned about it. #flower

My BP was up when I got someone at the gym to test it today but I’d been for an ocean swim, had a coffee and done a weights session so I’m not worried. It was in normal range (systolic ws borderline) but my normal is around 120/75
