Hi Tom, You are doing all the right things. I am in the US and also got my script from GP2U and my meds from Kingswood. Rusty their IT guy will call you about an hour before your appt with Dr Freeman and make sure you have your skype setup properly. You need to send copies of recent labs and such. Then you can pay with your credit card to Kingswood and once all that is done it took exactly 10 days to be delivered to my home. I am in my 9th week and was undetected at 4wks!
I wish you the best on your journey to SVR

I m jinsung kim(you can call me jay kim) from south korea.
Many korean hep-c patients are using hopetavir(incepta’s generic sovaldi) and Twinvir(incepta’s generic harvoni).
i am GT1a. I tried hopetavir and rivabirin for 12wks before twinvir came out. results was good during treatment, but didnt get SVR4 though..
now i am on 2st week of twinvir.
In korea, we have simillar community like fixhep-c. but there is few GT1a. so i want to share treatment stories and tell you korean stories too(many koreans, especially GT1b, GT2, are getting close to SVR).
we koreans mostly have 1b, 2a.
those who get treatment by sofosbuvir+interferon+ribavirin(1b) and sofosbuvir+ribavirin(2a) hit SVR12 even SVR24 alrealdy.
but still no SVRs by sofosbuvir+ledipasvir(1a, 1b) due to the time issue.
In korea, most people use incepta’s products.
Thanks for having me in.
hep-c for 20yrs.

Things weren’t quite as settled a few months back though for mail to the US, so I had to call up Adam and tell him I was a guy coming from a little ways out of town. So, I drove up to his shop, picked up my meds like you would at any Walgreens or Rite-Aid, and after 10 days of running around Australia got on the plane and came home. But I took my first pills as soon as I got them same day.
He’s a good guy, you will be fine.

17 March 2016 at 2:29 pm #14023Hi Jay,
You have found the place for info about generic hcv treatment. Incepta is good. Twinvir for 1a. If you are in your 2nd week of tx, 99.99% if the virus us probably gone. $1600 is not unreasonable, but it is above the going price. The guest-house folks are probably making around $600 a pop.
Talk to Parvez or Leon here. Send them a PM or email me and I will give you theirs
Welcome.

Please see below. Raised Bilirubin is common with HCV and usually drops with treatment. You appear be within the ‘normal’ range, if a bit high, pretreatment so not “really bad”.
It is normal to have some bilirubin in the blood. A normal level is:
Direct (also called conjugated) bilirubin: 0 to 0.3 mg/dL
Total bilirubin: 0.3 to 1.9 mg/dLhttps://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003479.htm

20 March 2016 at 2:06 am #14225Can someone tell me if Hepcvir or Twinvir is better for 1a. I have a script for Hepcvir but I also have an appointment scheduled for the trials through Monkmed which would likely prescribe one of Incepta’s brands.
Thoughts..advice…suggestions?
Thanks Tom
P.S. I know these questions might seem a bit redundant but I am ready to pull the trigger so to speak and want to make the best possible choice for treatment.
20 March 2016 at 3:42 am #14234Hi Tom,
Is your script for Hepcvir or Hepcvir-L? Hepcvir on its own isn’t enough as it only contains Sofosbuvir. You require both Sofosbuvir (400mg) and Ledipasvir (90mg).
Now, I’m not a doctor (or a marketer as you will see ) but:
Both Hepcvir-L and also Twinvir contain Sofosbuvir and Ledipasvir as the active ingredients in the same quantities so it shouldn’t make any difference from a treatment perspective. Things may have changed slightly but as far as I was aware the Redemption trials supply multiple brands as the aim of the trials is to prove a range of generics. I would assume that Monkmed as the coordinators of the trial would supply randomly by patient. However, they may take into consideration things like anticipated customs reaction to particular brands or country of origin depending on where the patient is located, so political reasons rather than medical.

20 March 2016 at 3:55 am #14235Hi Tom, MonkMed as far as I know, offer licensed Indian medicines. For Genotype 1a, it is Hepcivir-L. As Gaj says though, things ‘may’ vary from country to country, I suggest you ask them directly and you may also be offered an appointment with one of the MonkMed Drs to advise
I’m sure it will all go well, MonkMed are excellent and good communicators.
Best wishes for your treatment.

For REDEMPTION-3( Sof+ Led) it is Cipla Hepcvir L and for REDEMPTION-2 it is Mylan MyHep(Sof) and MyDacla(Dac). Because the medications are from reputed pharmaceutical companies( E.g. Cipla is big name in UK and Mylan is a US manufacturer) doctors of respective countries have been more forthcoming to monitor patients as they are more comfortable with brands they prescribe for other ailments.
All REDEMPTION participants avail MonkMed doctor consultation services at no additional cost for duration of treatment of 12-24 weeks and if required any post treatment.
